Here you’ll learn how Continuum can help you prepare for an upcoming meeting.
To get started, you’ll need to complete a few setup steps before your first meeting.
Quick Start Checklist:
Connected your calendar
☐ Enabled notifications☐ Connected and tested your microphone and audio setup☐ Familiarized yourself with the Capture Controls
Once you’ve checked these off, you’re ready to capture your first meeting. When your notification appears, simply click to launch and hit Capture when the meeting begins.

How We Detect Meetings

Continuum automatically identifies meetings on your calendar that are ready to capture. We look for events that include video conferencing links (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams), multiple attendees, or time blocks marked as busy. These meetings show up in your Continuum dashboard as soon as we spot them, giving you visibility into what’s coming up and time to prepare. Meetings Default Img3

Pre-Meeting Notifications

We’ll send a push notification 1 minute before your scheduled meeting begins. You should see this appear in the top right corner of your screen. Notification
  • Click the notification to open the meeting in Continuum.
  • You’ll see the meeting name, attendees, a dedicated space for notetaking and the Capture button.
  • Press Capture when the meeting starts — Continuum begins recording audio from your microphone and speaker instantly.

Capturing Unscheduled Conversations

Continuum can also detect when you’re on an active call, even if it’s not scheduled in your calendar. When a call begins, we’ll offer you the option to start capturing. This feature is perfect to remind you to capture those spontaneous conversations that happen throughout your workday, like an unexpected FaceTime with a client or a last-minute call with a colleague.

Preparing Meeting Context

On the meeting details page, there’s a notes field where you can add context at any stage—before, during, or after your meeting. Think of it as your workspace for everything related to the conversation. What you might include: Use this space however works for you. Some advisors add agenda items they want to cover, background info about the client or topic, key objectives for the conversation, or any context that’ll help guide the discussion. Adding context helps the AI understand what matters most to you, making your summaries sharper and more relevant. Meeting Details Img1 How it works: Click on any upcoming meeting in your Continuum dashboard to open the meeting view. You’ll see the notes field right there—start typing to add your pre-meeting thoughts. During the meeting, your notes stay available so you can jot down important points, flag key topics, or mark significant moments. After everything wraps up and your AI summary is generated, your notes remain accessible alongside the summary for future reference.
Tip: Notes are completely optional. The AI will already create solid summaries on its own, but adding context before or during your meeting can make them even sharper and more tailored. The more context you provide, the better Continuum can identify what’s important and organize your takeaways effectively.

Prepare with the AI Ask Bar

The AI assistant bar at the bottom of your meeting view is one of Continuum’s most powerful features. Even before your meeting starts, you can ask anything about the upcoming conversation and get intelligent, context-aware answers. Meeting Prepare Img How it works: Continuum has access to your entire meeting history, so it can surface relevant insights from past conversations with the same client or about similar topics. You can simply click on the “Prepare me for this meeting” prompt and the AI will automatically pull together key information: recent discussions with this client, outstanding action items, important dates or deadlines mentioned previously, and topics that might need follow-up. Want something specific? Type your own question directly in the “Ask anything” field.

What you can ask:

What did we discuss in our last meeting with this client?
What action items are still pending from our past meetings?
Summarize all previous conversations about their retirement planning
Has this client mentioned their children's education planning before?
Why this matters: Instead of scrambling through past notes or trying to remember what you discussed months ago, Continuum surfaces the right information at the right time. You walk into every meeting fully prepared, with your client’s complete history at your fingertips—making you look sharp and helping you provide better, more personalized service.
Tip: The AI assistant is available before, during, and after your meetings, so you can ask questions whenever you need support.

Important privacy notes

Continuum only captures audio when you explicitly start recording—we never record without your action. You can stop or resume at any time during the meeting, and all transcripts are encrypted and stored securely. You control who has access to your meeting notes and summaries. And we never store audio recordings. Audio is processed in real-time to create your transcript, then immediately discarded.
