# Team members

> Invite people to your organization, choose their role and seat, change either later, and remove members without losing their meetings.

Admins manage who is in your organization under **Settings > Members**. Everyone else sees the list of members but cannot change it.

## Invite team members

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Members">
    Open **Settings**, choose **Members**, and click **Invite**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add each person">
    Enter their **Email**, then choose a **Role** and a **Seat type**. New rows start as Member and Standard. Click **Add a team member** to invite several people at once.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review and confirm">
    Click **Next**, check the summary, and click **Confirm**. Each person gets an email invitation.
  </Step>
</Steps>

A new seat changes your bill. See [Plans, seats, and billing](/managing/plans-and-billing).

Point new members to the [Setup guide](/getting-started/setup) to install Continuum, sign in, and connect their calendar. They can also [book an onboarding session](https://calendly.com/d/cwq7-wdk-bw4/continuum-onboarding).

## Roles

| Role | What it allows |
| - | - |
| **Admin** | Everything a Member can do, plus managing members, organization settings, compliance, and billing |
| **Member** | Using Continuum with the features of their seat and plan, without managing the organization |

## Seat types

| | Standard | Assistant |
| - | - | - |
| **Best for** | Advisors who run their own client meetings | Assistants and associates who support advisors |
| **Capture meetings** | Yes | No |
| **Meetings shared with them** | View, and edit when shared with edit access | View, and edit when shared with edit access |
| **Pages** | Create and edit on the Pro plan | View only |

A common setup: an advisor on a Standard seat captures the meeting and shares it with their assistant with edit access. The assistant tidies the summary, completes the tasks, and syncs everything to the CRM.

The **Seat Type** column and the Assistant option appear only on plans that include Assistant seats.

## Change a role or a seat

Click the **three-dot menu** on a member's row and choose **Update role** or **Update seat type**, then click **Update**.

Moving someone from Standard to Assistant stops them from capturing meetings. Moving someone to Standard lets them capture right away, and on Pro, create Pages. Seat changes adjust your bill.

## Remove a member

<Steps>
  <Step title="Choose Remove from organization">
    Click the **three-dot menu** on their row and choose **Remove from organization**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Decide who keeps access to their work">
    Their meetings and data stay in Continuum. Choose **Share with organization** to give everyone access, or **Admins only**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm">
    Click **Yes, Remove**. They lose access to your organization.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Turn on **Show removed** to see former members.

## Pending invitations

An invited person shows as **Invited** until they accept. From their row, choose **Resend invitation** or **Revoke invitation**.

## Limitations

* Only admins can invite, change, or remove members.
* Assistant seats are available only on plans that include them.
* An Assistant seat cannot capture meetings or edit Pages, even with edit access to a Page.
