# AI Ask Floating Bar
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/ask-ai/ai-ask-bar
## What the AI Ask Bar can do for you
The AI Ask Bar is your personal assistant inside Continuum. It helps you understand your day, prepare for meetings, and quickly get insights from your recent conversations — all by simply asking a question.
### What you can use it for
You can ask the AI to:
* Summarize what matters today
* Help you prepare for an upcoming meeting
* Review what happened in your recent calls
* Highlight important themes in your book of business
* Explain a client’s goals or concerns in simple terms
* Turn your recent conversations into something useful (lists, summaries, overviews)
* Edit your meeting summaries and transcripts — fix name spellings, reassign speaker labels, correct details, or rephrase sections just by asking
The goal is to help you find clarity fast — without digging, scanning, or rereading notes.
### Where you can use the AI Bar
The bar appears at the bottom of the Home, Meetings, Meeting Details, People, and Client Profiles pages.
The AI uses the context of the page you're currently on to give more accurate and helpful answers. This context is represented by the pills inside the chat.
### Edit your meeting notes by chatting with the AI
When you're on a meeting page, the Ask Bar becomes a powerful editing tool. Instead of clicking through your summary to fix things manually, just tell the AI what needs to change.
**Things you can ask it to do:**
* Fix misspelled names across the entire transcript and summary
* Reassign a speaker label to the correct person
* Correct specific details — dates, dollar amounts, account types
* Rephrase or clarify a section of the summary
The AI scans your transcript, applies the changes, and shows you a clear breakdown of what was updated — so you always know exactly what changed before moving on.
**Important:** This works when you're on the specific meeting page you want to edit. The context pill at the bottom of the chat (e.g., "Asking about: Portfolio Review — Linda Morrison") confirms which meeting the AI is working with.
### How responses work
When you ask something, the AI:
1. Looks at the context you’re currently viewing
2. Analyzes your recent conversations (when relevant)
3. Returns a calm, clear summary or list you can act on
You can always ask follow-up questions to refine or go deeper.
### Additional controls
Besides asking quick, contextual questions, the Floating AI Bar includes a few helpful controls that make it easy to manage your chats and choose how much space you want while interacting with the AI.
Here’s a quick overview of everything you can do:
* **Chat history dropdown:** You can reopen any previous conversation, quickly revisit an answer you received earlier, and jump between recent chats without leaving the page you’re on.
* **New Chat button:** It lets you instantly clear the current conversation and start fresh. Use it when you want to reset the context or you’re switching to a different topic.
* **Expand button:** Keeps you on the same page, but gives you a more spacious chat area. This view is helpful when you want more room to read the AI’s responses, making it a more comfortable space to scroll and follow the conversation.
* **Minimize button:** It collapses the bar back into its compact state — a small input field at the bottom of the screen. You can expand it again at any time with a single click.
# Ask Continuum Page
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/ask-ai/ask-page
Your dedicated workspace for deeper questions and broader analysis.
From anywhere in Continuum, open the Ask tab in the left sidebar to start a new chat.
Here, you can ask questions about your meetings, clients, and tasks, or request Continuum to generate follow-ups, agendas, or summaries.
You can try prompts like:
* Prep for my next external meeting and suggest an agenda.
* Write a follow-up email summarizing my last client call.
* What themes are emerging across my client base?
* Which clients have been quiet lately?
**Tip**: The more Continuum learns from your meetings and messages, the more personalized and context-aware your responses become.
### What you can do on the Ask page
Ask Continuum to help you with every aspect of your practice:
* **Prepare** for upcoming meetings with agendas and talking points
* **Follow up** with emails, recaps, and next-step lists
* **Summarize** meetings, themes, and outcomes across time
* **Identify patterns** (quiet clients, recurring concerns, common action items)
* **Turn conversations into action** (task lists, outreach plans, reminders)
### Chat history (continue past conversations)
You’ll see a **chat history** in the left sidebar. This is where Continuum keeps your recent AI conversations, so you can pick up where you left off.
Any conversation you start— \*\*whether from the Ask page or the AI Ask Bar \*\*—will also appear here, so you can always come back to it later and continue the same thread.
**What you can do with chat history:**
* **Resume a conversation**: Click any past chat to continue the thread with full context.
* **Switch between topics**: Jump between different chats without losing your place.
* **Start fresh anytime**: Create a new chat when you want to reset the context and ask a new question.
Tip: If the AI starts answering based on an older topic, start a new chat to avoid mixing contexts.
***
### **Prompt tiles (ready-made starting points)**
At the center of the Ask page, you’ll see a set of **prompt tiles** (the cards with the purple icons). Think of these as shortcuts to high-value questions—designed to help you get a useful answer in one click.
**How they work:**
* Click a tile to instantly start a chat with a **pre-written prompt**.
* You can follow up after the AI responds to narrow it down. Add specifics like a **time range** (“last 30 days”), a **client segment** (“top 20 households”), or an **output format** (“give me a table”).
* Tiles are great when you’re not sure what to ask yet—they help you discover what’s possible on the Ask page.

When finished, open the app and **sign in with the same Microsoft or Google account** you used on the web.
**Tip:** IT-approved installation may be required for enterprise environments. Contact your IT team if you’re unable to install locally.
## Step 3 - Calendar and Audio permissions
When you first open Continuum, you’ll be asked to grant permissions so the app can:
* Access your **calendar** to detect upcoming meetings.
* Use your **microphone** **and speaker** to transcribe audio during meetings.
You can adjust these later in your system settings if needed.
## Step 4 - Test Recording and AI Notes
When you open Continuum for the first time, you’ll see a **Sample Meeting** pre-populated in your dashboard. You can use it to try out recording, transcription, and AI notes.
1. Click into the **Sample Meeting**.
2. Press **Play** to start recording — Continuum will capture audio from your device. Try talking out loud or even playing a video on YouTube.
3. Watch the **waveform bars** move to confirm transcription is active.
4. When you’re ready, press **Stop,** then click **Generate Notes.**
5. Within a few seconds, you’ll see a full **AI-generated summary**, **key discussion points**, and **action items** appear in your notes view.
This is a safe space to experiment. The Sample Meeting is **private** to you and not shared with your organization.

# Welcome to Continuum
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/getting-started/welcome
Capture every conversation, automate the follow-up, and turn your meetings into client-ready deliverables — all in one compliant AI workspace
Continuum is the **compliant AI system behind Canada's best advisors** — built for financial advisors and professionals across regulated industries.
It helps you capture meetings, summarize conversations, and automate follow-ups securely — all while meeting the compliance and data-residency standards required in wealth management, insurance, and advisory practices.
Unlike traditional AI note-takers that join your meetings as third-party “bots,” Continuum runs **directly on your device** — no bots, no links to share, and no extra participants visible to clients.
You simply **press Capture** to start transcribing a meeting, and Continuum handles the rest.
This approach gives you:
* **Full control** — transcribe any client interaction (Teams, Zoom, RingCentral, Dialpad, or in-person) with one click. Start and stop the transcription anytime for off-the-record moments.
* **True privacy** — nothing joins your meetings or listens in from the cloud.
* **Purpose-built compliance** — designed for the workflows, PII protection, and retention policies of regulated firms.
* **Enterprise-grade security** — with both US & Canada data residency options, SOC 2 Type II certification, encryption in-transit, at rest, and at the application layer.
Continuum covers the full arc of a client conversation: it captures the meeting (video call, phone call, or in person), turns it into notes, tasks, and follow-ups, and then helps you send the results as a branded, interactive **Page** your client can explore and ask questions about — while you see exactly how they engage.
### On Windows and Mac Laptops
You can use the Continuum desktop app to securely capture and summarize:
* **Meetings** on any platform with no integrations required — Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Ring Central, Zoom Phone, Dialpad or any other calling or conferencing software you use
* **In-person meetings** using your computer’s microphone
* **Voice memos** or quick personal notes to yourself recorded directly on your device
* **Any audio** playing on your computer, such as a podcast, webinar, YouTube video, or client call recording
Continuum runs locally on your device, ensuring full privacy and compliance while transcribing and summarizing **any audio format you interact with clients or colleagues through**.
### On Mobile (iOS & Android)
The Continuum mobile app is designed for **advisors on the go** — perfect for capturing in-person meetings or recording voice memos right after a meeting or when you’re away from your desk.
You can use the mobile app to transcribe and summarize **microphone audio**, such as:
* **In-person client meetings or reviews**
* **Quick voice notes** after a meeting — to capture more detailed next steps, to-dos, or compliance notes while details are still fresh
* **Follow-up reflections** to revisit later or share with your team
You can also use the mobile app to **review summaries**, **check key takeaways**, and **ask Continuum AI questions** about your past meetings anytime, anywhere.
Download Continuum in the [**App Store (iOS)**](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/continuum-ai/id6749549104) or [**Google Play (Android)**](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oncontinuum.app\&pli=1)

Your Settings page is where you make Continuum yours. Manage your profile, connect your tools, configure your organization, and control your subscription, all in one place.
## Accessing Settings
Click the **Settings** icon in the sidebar to open your Settings page. Everything is organized into four main tabs: Profile, Organization, Integrations, and Billing.
## Profile Tab
Manage your personal information and account preferences.
**Avatar:** Upload a profile photo to personalize your account. Click **Upload image** and choose a .png, .jpg, or .jpeg file up to 5MB. Your avatar appears throughout Continuum and helps teammates identify you.
**Contact information:**
* **Name** - Your full name as it appears in Continuum
* **Email** - Your account email address
* **Role** - Your role in the organization (Advisor, Admin, etc.)
* **Phone number** - Optional contact number
Click into any field to edit it. Changes save automatically.
**Security:** Enable **Two-factor authentication** to add an extra layer of security to your account. Click **Set up** and follow the instructions to connect your authenticator app. If you see "Not set up" with a red indicator, it means 2FA isn't enabled yet—we recommend setting it up to keep your account secure.
## Organization Tab
Manage your workspace and team members (visible to all users, editable by admins).
**Organization information:**
* **Avatar** - Upload your organization's logo
* **Organization name** - Your firm or company name
This information helps identify your workspace.
**Team members:** See everyone in your organization with their Name, email address, status, role, seat type and join date. The list shows who's actively using Continuum and who still needs to accept their invitation.
**Managing members (Admins only):** Admins can invite new team members, manage roles, and remove users who no longer need access. Click **Invite Member** to add someone new to your Continuum workspace.
**Switching workspaces:** If you belong to multiple organizations, you can switch between them using the workspace dropdown at the top of your sidebar.
## Managing members (Admins only)
### Inviting Team Members
As an admin, you can add new people to your Continuum organization directly from Settings — no need to contact support.
1. Scroll down to **Team members** and click **Invite Member**
2. Enter their **Name** and **Email**
3. Choose their **Role**:
* **Admin** — Full access to organization settings, can manage members, and has all member permissions.
* **Member** — Can view and participate in meetings, but cannot manage organization settings or members.
4. Choose their **Seat type**:
* **Standard** (\$79/month) — Can create and capture meetings, and has full access to all features.
* **Assistant** (\$39/month) — Can view meetings shared by team members, but cannot capture or edit meetings.
5. Click **Next**, review the details, and click **Confirm**
Once confirmed, they'll receive an email invitation with instructions to sign in, download the app, and connect their calendar. You can always check their status in Settings → Organization to see who has accepted vs. who is still pending.
**Tip**: Help your new team member get started quickly by pointing them to the [Setup Guide](/getting-started/setup). They'll need to download the desktop or mobile app, sign in with their work account, and connect their calendar to start capturing meetings.
**Billing note**: Adding a new seat will update your billing automatically. A prorated charge is applied right away for the remainder of your current billing period, and the full seat cost will appear on your next invoice.
### Managing existing members
You can update any team member's **Role** or **Seat type** at any time. To do so, click the **three-dot menu** (⋮) on the right side of their row, select **Edit role** or **Edit seat type** and choose the new option.
Changes take effect immediately. Any billing adjustments are handled automatically — you'll see updated charges reflected in your next billing cycle.
### Removing a member
If someone leaves your team or no longer needs access:
1. Click the **three-dot menu** (⋮) next to their name
2. Select **Remove member**
Their access to your organization's meetings and data will be revoked. Your billing will be adjusted accordingly on your next invoice.
Adding, changing seat types, or removing users automatically updates your billing—there’s nothing extra you need to do. As teammates accept invitations (or are removed), your invoice reflects the current number of seats.
## Preferences Tab
Customize how Continuum works for you — from the notifications you receive to how your meeting content is shared.
**Notifications:**
**Pre-meeting prep email** — Get an email 1 hour before upcoming meetings with a quick recap of your last conversations and suggested talking points. Toggle this on or off depending on whether you find the pre-meeting reminders helpful. Enabled by default.
**Meetings:**
**Show calendar events without attendees** — Choose whether to display calendar events where no one else is invited, like prep time, lunch blocks, or personal reminders. Turn this on if you want to see your full calendar in Continuum, or leave it off to keep your meeting list focused on actual client and team interactions. Disabled by default.
**Who sees your meeting notes** — After each meeting, Continuum generates a summary. This setting controls the default visibility of those notes. Choose **Share** to automatically share summaries with your team, or switch to **Private** to keep them visible only to you. You can always change the sharing setting on individual meetings later — this just sets your default.
## Integrations Tab
Connect Continuum to the tools you already use—your calendar, CRM, email, and more.
**Calendar and Email:** This section handles your meetings, events, and email correspondence.
**Available integrations**: Microsoft Outlook, Gmail and Google Calendar, Apple Calendar.
When an integration is connected, you'll see a green "Connected" badge, your connected email address and a **Details** dropdown to manage settings.
**CRM:** Connect your customer relationship management platform to sync contacts, tasks, and notes.
**Available CRM integrations**: Salesforce, HubSpot, Wealthbox, and other major platforms.
When connected, click **Details** to see see your connected account information and its status, adjust sync settings, or disconnect it if you no longer need it.
**Why integrations matter:** Integrations eliminate manual work. Your calendar meetings appear in Continuum automatically. Meeting summaries push to your CRM with one click. Contacts sync both ways. Everything stays aligned without you lifting a finger.
To learn more about integrations, see the [Integrations](/managing/Integrations) page.
## Billing & Subscription
Manage your subscription, payment method, and plan options.
**Current plan:** See which plan you're on, how many seats you're using, and your current billing cycle.
**Admins only:** Only workspace admins can manage billing and payment method. Regular members will see their current plan but can't make changes.
### Changing Your Plan
Admins can switch between **Core Yearly** and **Core Monthly** billing at any time from the Billing tab.
What happens when you switch:
* **Upgrading to Yearly:** The change takes effect immediately. You'll be charged today with a prorated credit applied for the remainder of your current billing cycle.
* **Downgrading to Monthly:** Your current yearly plan stays active until it expires. Monthly billing begins on your next renewal date — no changes until then.
## Settings Best Practices
**Complete your profile:** Take a minute to add your photo, phone number, and verify your email. It makes collaboration smoother and helps teammates identify you quickly.
**Connect integrations during setup:** Link your calendar and CRM right when you start using Continuum. The sooner these connect, the sooner your data flows automatically.
**Enable 2FA:** Two-factor authentication takes 2 minutes to set up and significantly improves your account security. It's worth it.
**Check integration status quarterly**: Once every few months, open the Integrations tab and verify everything shows "Connected" and "Synced." Sometimes permissions expire and need to be refreshed.
**Keep your profile current:** When you update your email, or move to a new organization, update your profile. Accurate information helps Continuum work better for you.
**Keep business address current**: If your firm moves or changes contact information, update it in the Organization tab. This keeps your invoices and official communications accurate.ShareContent
# Integrations overview
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/managing/Integrations
Make Continuum more powerful by connecting to the calendar, email, and CRM tools you already use.
Continuum is most powerful when it's connected to the rest of your workflow. Integrations let your calendar populate your meetings, your email surface alongside contacts, and your CRM stay in sync with the notes and tasks Continuum produces — without copy‑paste.
This page covers everything that's the same across every integration: where to find them, how to connect one, what the status badges mean, and how to disconnect. Each integration also has its own page with the configuration options specific to that provider.
Integrations are configured from the **desktop and web app**. The mobile app shows the data your integrations bring in (meetings, contacts, etc.) but doesn't currently have screens for connecting or managing integrations themselves.
## Why Integrations Matter
Every integration you connect makes Continuum more powerful and your workflow more efficient.
**What integrations do:**
* Automatically populate your meetings from your calendar
* Sync contacts and households between your CRM and Continuum
* Push meeting summaries and tasks back to your CRM with one click
* Track email correspondence alongside meeting history
Think of integrations as bridges that connect your tools. The more bridges you build, the less manual work you do.
## Where to find your integrations
Open **Settings > Integrations** from the left sidebar. You'll see a grid of every integration available to your workspace, grouped into categories:
* **Email & Calendar** — Google, Microsoft
* **CRM** — Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Wealthbox, Cloven, Zoho CRM, Equisoft, Act!
* **Financial Planning** — additional planning tools (rolling out)
Use the category tabs at the top to narrow the list, or the search bar to jump to a specific provider. Integrations you've already connected appear at the top of the grid so they're easy to find again.
Equisoft and Laylah are available based on your country. If you don't see an integration you expect, it may not be offered in your region yet.
## How a connection works
Every integration follows the same connect flow, regardless of category.
A confirmation dialog appears showing the integration name and a list of permissions Continuum will request from that provider.
A popup window opens to the provider's login page (Google, Microsoft, Salesforce, etc.). Sign in and approve the requested permissions. A few integrations don't use a popup — Act! uses an in‑app form, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 shows an instance picker after sign‑in. The per‑integration pages call these out.
Once you've authorized, the popup closes and the tile updates to show a green **Connected** badge. Click **Manage** on the tile any time you want to change settings, see sync status, or disconnect.
**What happens next:** Continuum immediately starts syncing data. For calendars, your meetings appear within minutes. For CRMs, you'll be able to import contacts and start pushing meeting data right away. You'll see a confirmation message when the initial sync completes.
**Test with one meeting first:** When you first connect your CRM, push one meeting to test the sync. Make sure it appears correctly in your CRM before pushing more.
### Status badges
Every integration tile shows its current state at a glance:
* **Connected** (green) — authorized and syncing normally. For providers that support multiple accounts (Google, Microsoft), this badge shows the account count (e.g., "2 Accounts Connected").
* **Needs attention** (amber) — at least one part of the integration has stopped syncing (for example, your Google account is connected but its email sync expired). Open **Manage** to see exactly which piece needs reconnecting.
* **Not Connected** (grey) — never connected, or disconnected and not reconnected yet.
When something needs attention, you'll also see a banner at the top of the **Home** and **Meetings** pages reminding you to reconnect. The banner links straight to the integrations grid.
## Managing a connected integration
Click **Manage** on any connected tile to open its settings. Every settings dialog includes:
* **Connection details** — the account(s) you authorized with, and when each was connected
* **Sync status** — current state and last sync timestamp for each capability (email, calendar, or CRM sync)
* **Reconnect** — refresh the authorization without losing your settings (useful after a password change or expired token)
* **Disconnect** — remove the connection
Integrations that have additional options (which calendars to include, how to share email, which CRM object to use for notes, etc.) show those options in the same dialog. See the page for the specific integration for details.
### Multiple accounts per provider
Google and Microsoft both support multiple accounts on the same workspace — useful if you have a personal and work calendar, or you want to bring in a shared mailbox alongside your own. Click **Manage** and then **Add account** to connect another, and the **Manage** dialog will list each account separately with its own status and toggles.
There is a per‑workspace cap on how many accounts can be connected at once. If you hit the cap, the **Connect** button is disabled and the tile tells you the maximum.
### Disconnecting
To disconnect: open **Settings > Integrations**, click **Manage** on the tile, then click **Disconnect** at the bottom of the dialog. For multi‑account integrations, you can disconnect a single account without removing the others.
**What's kept when you disconnect:**
* **Meetings, notes, and transcripts** captured while the integration was active stay in Continuum.
* **Contacts** previously imported from a CRM stay in Continuum — they just won't update going forward.
* **Emails** already linked to contacts remain visible; new emails won't sync.
You can reconnect the same integration at any time and syncing will resume.
## Troubleshooting
Most integration issues show up as a **Needs attention** badge or missing data ("my meetings aren't appearing"). A few things to check before reaching out:
* **Has the authorization expired?** If the badge is amber, click **Manage** to see which capability stopped syncing and reconnect it.
* **Did you grant the right permissions?** Some providers prompt for granular scopes — if you unchecked one, reconnect and approve them all.
* **Has enough time passed?** Initial sync can take 5–10 minutes for calendars and up to 30 minutes for large CRMs.
* **Is the data in scope?** Continuum syncs the calendars, mailboxes, and contacts the provider exposes to you — personal calendars or contact lists you don't have access to won't appear.
Still stuck? Email [support@oncontinuum.com](mailto:support@oncontinuum.com) with the integration name and what you're seeing.

# Act!
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/managing/act
Connect Act! to sync contacts and push meeting notes and tasks back to your CRM.
The Act! integration connects Continuum to your Act! account so you can import contacts and push meeting notes and tasks back to Act! from any meeting page.
Act! is set up differently from most other CRM integrations: instead of an OAuth popup, you sign in through an in‑app form where you select your **region** and enter your Act! **username**, **password**, and **database name**.
For the universal connect/manage/disconnect mechanics, see the [Integrations overview](/managing/Integrations).
## Before you start
**Your Act! master database must be hosted in the cloud (on ActAdvantage).** The integration connects to your hosted master database, not a local or remote copy.
Having ActAdvantage on its own isn't enough — some advisors have ActAdvantage but are still running their master database on their own server and haven't moved it to the cloud. If your master database isn't on the cloud server, the integration won't connect. If you're not sure, ask your Act! consultant to confirm your master database is hosted on the cloud.
Have these ready before you connect:
* Your Act! **username** and **password**.
* Your **region** — the same region you sign into the Act! web app from.
* Your **hosted (cloud) database name** — see the callout in the next section, because this is the field advisors most often get wrong.
* The account you use needs permission to read contacts and create notes and tasks in Act!.
## Connecting Act!
An in‑app connection form appears (no popup window).
Choose the region that matches your Act! tenant. Picking the wrong region will cause sign‑in to fail — if you're not sure which to pick, look at the URL you use to sign into Act! on the web.
Use the same username and password you sign into Act! with.
Enter the name of your **hosted (cloud) database** — not the database name shown in your desktop Act! app.
**Most common setup issue:** Enter the name of your **hosted (cloud) database**, not the name shown in your desktop Act! app. They are often different, even though your username and password are the same for both. If your username and password are right but the connection fails, this is almost always why.
Not sure what your hosted database name is? See [Find your hosted database name](#find-your-hosted-database-name) below.
Click **Connect**. The tile updates to **Connected** and the Manage dialog opens with sync status. You're done.
Continuum doesn't store your Act! password — your sign‑in is used once to establish the connection and then discarded.
## Act!‑specific settings
Open **Manage** on the Act! tile to see this option:
**Push meeting notes to** — chooses where your meeting notes land in Act! when you push a meeting:
* **History (Meeting Held)** (default) — records the meeting in Act! **History** as a **Meeting Held** activity. History captures the meeting's duration in Act!, so you keep a record of how long each meeting ran.
* **Notes** — creates a plain note in Act! instead.
Pick an option and click **Save settings** to apply it. The change only affects future pushes — meetings you've already pushed stay where they are.
## What gets pushed to Act!
From a meeting in Continuum, click **Push to CRM** to send the meeting back to Act!. The push includes:
* The meeting summary, organized by your meeting template
* Notes you added before and during the meeting
* Tasks (with due dates and assignees) generated from the meeting
* Meeting metadata — date, time, attendees
By default, the meeting notes are recorded in Act! **History** as a **Meeting Held** activity, which captures the meeting's duration. If you'd rather they arrive as plain notes, switch **Push meeting notes to** to **Notes** in the Act!‑specific settings above.
### Where your pushed notes and tasks appear
Pushed notes and tasks show up in the Act! **web** version **immediately**. They then flow down to your **desktop** Act! app on the next Act! sync.
The default Act! sync interval is **30 minutes** (some setups are configured for 15 minutes or 1 hour), and you can trigger a sync manually in Act! to pull everything down right away.
Just pushed from Continuum but don't see the note in your desktop Act! app yet? Check the Act! web version — it appears there first — or run a manual sync in Act! to bring it down to your desktop.
## Importing contacts from Act!
Contacts don't sync automatically the first time. To bring contacts in:
1. Go to **People** in the left sidebar
2. Click **+ New Contact** > **Import from CRM**
3. Pick the Act! contacts you want to bring in
## Disconnecting
Open **Manage** and click **Disconnect**. Contacts you've already imported stay in Continuum.
## Troubleshooting
The database name is almost certainly the cause. Your username and password are the same for both your desktop and your hosted databases, so the database name is the only field that differs between them — which makes it the easiest one to get wrong.
Make sure you've entered the name of your **hosted (cloud) database**, not the name shown in your desktop Act! app. To find the correct name, follow [Find your hosted database name](#find-your-hosted-database-name) below.
If the database name is correct and the connection still fails, check that you selected the right **region** (see below) and that your master database is actually [hosted on the cloud](#before-you-start).
Your hosted database name can be different from the name shown in your desktop Act! app. Here's how to find the one Continuum needs:
Use the web version of Act!, not the desktop app.
Your database is shown there as `Act-[DatabaseName]`.
That's your database name. For example, `Act-Entrust` means your database name is **Entrust**.
Enter that exact name in the **Database name** field in Continuum and connect again.
The region you picked doesn't match where your Act! tenant lives. Double‑check by signing into the Act! web app and comparing the URL, then reconnect with the correct region.
The integration only connects to a master database that's hosted in the cloud (on ActAdvantage). If your master database is still running on your own server, the integration can't connect — even if you have ActAdvantage. Ask your Act! consultant to confirm your master database is on the cloud server.
Pushed notes and tasks appear in the Act! **web** version immediately, then flow down to the Act! **desktop** app on its next sync — so if you're working in the desktop app, give it a moment or pull it down yourself.
* Make sure you're looking in the right place: by default, meeting notes are pushed to Act! **History** as a **Meeting Held** activity — not to **Notes**. Check your **Push meeting notes to** setting in the Manage dialog to confirm where they're going.
* Check the Act! **web** version first — your push is already there.
* In the Act! desktop app, click **Sync Now** to bring it down right away, or wait for the app's scheduled sync (the default interval is **30 minutes**).
* To see when the next automatic sync will run, look at the **left sidebar** of the Act! desktop app — it shows the next scheduled sync time.
Open **Manage** on the Act! tile and click **Reconnect**. Enter your new credentials to refresh the connection.
# Google
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/managing/google
Connect Gmail and Google Calendar so Continuum can populate your meetings and link emails to contacts.
The Google integration connects both **Gmail** and **Google Calendar** through a single sign‑in. Once connected, Continuum populates your meetings from your calendar, detects video links automatically, and (if you choose) links email threads to the contacts they involve.
You can connect more than one Google account if you use separate accounts for work and personal — for example, to surface meetings from both calendars in one place.
For everything that's the same across integrations — status badges, multi‑account behavior, the Reconnect button, disconnecting — see the [Integrations overview](/managing/Integrations).
## Before you connect
* You'll sign in with the Google account that owns the calendar and mailbox you want to surface in Continuum.
* For Google Workspace accounts, some scopes may require admin consent. If sign‑in fails with an admin‑policy error, ask your IT administrator to allow Continuum.
## Connecting Google
The capability picker dialog opens.
Pick **Email**, **Calendar**, or both. Most people connect both — Continuum's AI summaries and contact context work best when it has both inbox and calendar visibility.
**Tip:** You can change your mind later. Reopen the Manage dialog and toggle email or calendar on or off without removing the whole connection.
A Google sign‑in popup opens. Approve the requested permissions — make sure each checkbox stays selected, or some Continuum features will be unavailable.
The tile updates to **Connected**. Click **Manage** to choose which calendars to sync and set your email sharing level (covered below).
## Calendar settings
Open **Manage > Calendar** to control which calendars Continuum reads from.
* **Calendars list** — if your Google account has multiple calendars (your own, shared team calendars, etc.), toggle on the ones you want Continuum to use. Personal calendars or ones you don't want surfaced can be left off.
* **Sync status** — shows whether the calendar is currently in sync, plus the time of the last successful sync.
Once a calendar is enabled, Continuum pulls in scheduled events within a few minutes and keeps them up to date as you schedule, reschedule, or cancel.
## Email settings
Open **Manage > Email** to control how Gmail content is surfaced and shared.
**Sharing visibility** — controls how much of your email is shared with the rest of your workspace:
* **Private** (default) — Only you can see your emails inside Continuum. Nothing is shared with workspace members.
* **Subject line and metadata** — Workspace members can see the subject, participants, and timestamp of emails with contacts. The body stays private.
* **Full access** — Everything is shared with your workspace, including bodies and attachments. Use this when your team needs full transparency on client communication.
Continuum only displays emails between you and people in your contact database. Unrelated personal email never appears in Continuum, regardless of the sharing level you choose.
## Connecting a second Google account
If you have more than one Google account to connect, open **Manage** on the Google tile and click **Add account**. Each account is configured independently — you can sync the work calendar from one and skip email entirely on the other, for example.
## Disconnecting
In **Manage**, click **Disconnect** next to the account you want to remove. Past meetings, transcripts, and contact context captured while connected stay in Continuum; new calendar events and emails simply stop syncing.
## Troubleshooting
Check that the calendar containing those events is toggled on in **Manage > Calendar**. Also confirm the calendar status reads "Synced" — if it shows an error or expired state, click **Reconnect**.
Email only appears for people who are in your Continuum contact database, so if a contact hasn't been added yet, their emails won't show. Also make sure email is enabled in the Manage dialog — not just calendar.
Your Google Workspace admin has restricted third‑party apps. Ask them to allow Continuum in your Workspace admin console, then try again.
One of the connected capabilities — email or calendar — has stopped syncing. Open **Manage** to see which capability is failing and click **Reconnect** next to it.
# Maximizer
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/managing/maximizer
Connect Maximizer to import contacts and push meeting notes and tasks back to your CRM.
The Maximizer integration is a two‑way connection between Continuum and your Maximizer CRM. Once connected, you can import contacts from Maximizer into Continuum, and push meeting summaries, notes, and tasks back to Maximizer with a single click from any meeting page.
For the universal connect/manage/disconnect mechanics, see the [Integrations overview](/managing/Integrations).
## Before you connect
* Your Maximizer account must be cloud‑hosted (Maximizer CRM Live). On‑premise installations aren't supported.
* Your Maximizer release must be **2026.6 or higher**. You can check your release in Maximizer under **Administration** > **Version and Storage space**.
* Have two details ready before you start:
* **Region** — where your Maximizer account is hosted: Canada or Europe.
* **Company Alias** — your organization's identifier in Maximizer. Click your profile icon in the top‑right corner of Maximizer to find it.
* You'll sign in with a Maximizer user that has permission to read contacts and create notes and tasks.
When you connect, Continuum requests permission to read contacts, read tasks, write tasks and notes, and access organization data.
## Connecting Maximizer
A confirmation dialog appears showing the permissions Continuum will request. Click **Connect** to continue.
On the **Link Maximizer Account** screen, select your **Region** and enter your **Company Alias**, then click **Connect**.
A Maximizer sign‑in popup opens. Sign in and approve access for Continuum.
If the sign‑in window doesn't open, your browser may be blocking popups. Allow popups for Continuum and try again.
## Maximizer‑specific settings
Open **Manage** on the Maximizer tile to see these options:
**Automatic contact sync** — toggle whether Continuum periodically pulls contact updates from Maximizer. This starts **off** — turn it on if you want contacts you've imported to stay up to date. Once contact sync runs, your Maximizer Hotlist tasks also sync alongside your contacts, so they're available to Ask AI and search in Continuum.
## What gets pushed to Maximizer
From a meeting in Continuum, click **Push to CRM** to send the meeting back to Maximizer. The push includes:
* The meeting summary, organized by your meeting template — saved as a note on the contact's record
* Tasks (with due dates and assignees) — created as Hotlist tasks in Maximizer
* Meeting metadata — date, time, attendees
Pushes are one‑click and idempotent — pushing the same meeting twice updates the existing record rather than creating duplicates.
Tasks pushed from Continuum arrive in Maximizer with **Medium** priority. If a task needs a different priority, adjust it in Maximizer after the push.
When you first connect Maximizer, push **one** meeting end‑to‑end and confirm it landed where you expect before relying on the integration day‑to‑day.
## Importing contacts from Maximizer
Contacts don't sync automatically the first time. To bring contacts in:
1. Go to **People** in the left sidebar
2. Click **+ New Contact** > **Import from CRM**
3. Pick the Maximizer contacts you want to bring in
After import, contact updates flow automatically as long as **Automatic contact sync** is on in the Manage dialog.
## Disconnecting
Open **Manage** and click **Disconnect**. Contacts you've already imported stay in Continuum — they just stop updating. Future meetings will still capture and summarize as normal; they just won't push to Maximizer until you reconnect.
## Troubleshooting
Check that Maximizer shows **Connected** in Settings > Integrations. If it shows **Needs attention** or **Not Connected**, reconnect from the Manage dialog.
In Maximizer, click your profile icon in the top‑right corner — your company alias is shown there. If you're still unsure, your Maximizer administrator can confirm it.
Double‑check your **Region** and **Company Alias** — if either is wrong, Maximizer can't complete the sign‑in. Click **Connect** on the tile and try again with the correct details. If your organization uses Maximizer in Canada, select **Canada**; in the UK or Europe, select **Europe**.
Type at least three characters of the contact's name. The person must also exist as a contact in Maximizer — Continuum searches your Maximizer address book directly.
Turn on **Automatic contact sync** in the Manage dialog — tasks sync after your contacts do, and only tasks linked to synced contacts come across. Give it a little while after enabling the toggle, then check again.
Check which Maximizer release you're on: in Maximizer, go to **Administration** > **Version and Storage space**. The Continuum integration requires release **2026.6 or higher** — if you're on an older release, contact Maximizer about upgrading.
Use **People > + New Contact > Import from CRM** to bring contacts in — they don't sync automatically. After import, future changes to those contacts in Maximizer do sync if Automatic contact sync is on.
# Connecting Continuum to AI assistants
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/managing/mcp-connector
Bring your client intelligence into your AI assistant. Once connected, you can ask about your meetings in plain English — pulling context, summaries, and decisions directly from Continuum.
Continuum provides an MCP (Model Context Protocol) connector that AI assistants can use to search your meetings, pull up meeting details, and read transcripts — all scoped to your Continuum organization and your own access permissions. This page covers connecting from Claude and from Microsoft Copilot Studio.
Whichever assistant you're connecting, you'll use the same server details:
Name: **Continuum**
URL (Canada): [https://api-ca.oncontinuum.com/mcp](https://api-ca.oncontinuum.com/mcp)\
URL (US): [https://api.oncontinuum.com/mcp](https://api.oncontinuum.com/mcp)
## Connect from Claude
Click your profile icon in the bottom-left corner of [**claude.ai**](http://claude.ai), then click **Settings**.
In the Settings sidebar, click **Connectors**. You’ll see a note that says “Connectors have moved to Customize.” Click the **Customize** link.
On the Connectors page, click the + icon in the top-right of the connectors list (next to the search icon) to add a custom connector.
Enter the name and the URL for your region from the top of this page, then click **Add** (or **Connect**).
A browser tab will open with the Continuum consent screen. Select your Continuum organization and click **Approve**.
You’ll be redirected back to Claude. Continuum will now appear under **Web** in your connectors list, marked as **CUSTOM**.
Click **Continuum** to confirm it’s connected. You should see the Continuum tools, including get\_meeting and list\_meetings. Set tool permissions to **Always allow** if you want Claude to use them without asking each time.
## Connect from Microsoft Copilot Studio
If your firm builds agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio, you can give them access to Continuum as a tool.
In Copilot Studio, open your agent and go to the **Tools** page. Select **Add a tool**, then **New tool**, then **Model Context Protocol**.
Enter the name and the URL for your region from the top of this page, plus a server description:
Server description: **Access Continuum meeting data — search meetings, get meeting details and notes, and read meeting transcripts.**
The description matters: your agent uses it to decide when to reach out to Continuum, so keep it close to the wording above.
Select **OAuth 2.0**, then **Dynamic discovery**. Copilot Studio finds everything else it needs automatically — you don't need a client ID or secret.
Don't use the **Manual** option. It asks for a client secret, which Continuum doesn't use.
Select **Create**, then **Create a new connection**. A browser tab will open with the Continuum consent screen. Select your Continuum organization and click **Approve**.
Back in Copilot Studio, select **Add to agent**. You're done — test it in the agent's Test pane with a prompt like *"List my recent meetings."*
## What you can ask
Your assistant now has access to your Continuum meeting history. Here are a few prompts to get you started.
* “Summarize my last meeting with the Thompson family.”
* “What action items are still open from this week's client calls?”
* “Pull up everything we've discussed with Sarah Chen about her RRSP.”
* ”What did I commit to follow up on after yesterday's meetings?”
* “Help me prep for my 2pm — what did we cover last time?”
* ”Which clients mentioned retirement planning in the last month?”
Your assistant only sees what you can see in Continuum — private meetings stay private, and everything is scoped to the organization you approved.
## Troubleshooting
* **The consent screen doesn’t load.** Check that pop-ups aren’t blocked in your browser, then try connecting again.
* **Continuum doesn’t appear in Claude’s connectors list after approving.** Refresh [claude.ai](http://claude.ai) and check again.
* **In Copilot Studio, the connection test fails on “GetInvokeServer” with a 404.** This is safe to ignore — it’s an optional check that doesn’t apply to Continuum. As long as **InvokeServer** works and your agent can list meetings, the connection is healthy.
* **In Copilot Studio, the connector won’t create or connect.** Copilot Studio connectors are governed by your Microsoft tenant’s Power Platform data policies. Your IT admin may need to allow the Continuum connector before it can be used.
* **Your Copilot Studio agent never calls Continuum.** Check the server description — your agent uses it to decide when to use the tool. Use the description suggested above.
Still stuck? Email [support@oncontinuum.com](mailto:support@oncontinuum.com) — we’ll get you sorted.
# Microsoft
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/managing/microsoft
Connect Outlook email and calendar so Continuum can populate your meetings and link emails to contacts.
The Microsoft integration connects both **Outlook email** and **Outlook Calendar** through a single Microsoft 365 sign‑in. Once connected, Continuum populates your meetings from your calendar, detects Teams and other video links automatically, and (if you choose) links email threads to the contacts they involve.
You can connect more than one Microsoft account if you have separate work tenants or want to bring in a shared mailbox alongside your own.
For everything that's the same across integrations — status badges, multi‑account behavior, the Reconnect button, disconnecting — see the [Integrations overview](/managing/Integrations).
## Before you connect
* You'll sign in with the Microsoft 365 account that owns the calendar and mailbox you want to use.
* Most tenants require admin consent for the Microsoft Graph scopes Continuum requests. If sign‑in fails with an admin‑policy error, ask your IT administrator to grant Continuum tenant consent.
## Connecting Microsoft
The capability picker dialog opens.
Pick **Email**, **Calendar**, or both. Most people connect both — Continuum's AI summaries and contact context work best when it has both inbox and calendar visibility.
You can change your mind later. Reopen the Manage dialog and toggle email or calendar on or off without removing the whole connection.
A Microsoft sign‑in popup opens. Approve the requested permissions in full — unchecking a scope will disable parts of the integration.
The tile updates to **Connected**. Click **Manage** to choose which calendars to sync and set your email sharing level (covered below).
## Calendar settings
Open **Manage > Calendar** to control which calendars Continuum reads from.
* **Calendars list** — if your Outlook account has multiple calendars (your own, shared team calendars, room calendars, etc.), toggle on the ones you want Continuum to use. Personal calendars or ones you don't want surfaced can be left off.
* **Sync status** — shows whether the calendar is currently in sync, plus the time of the last successful sync.
Once a calendar is enabled, Continuum pulls in events within a few minutes and keeps them up to date as you schedule, reschedule, or cancel.
## Email settings
Open **Manage > Email** to control how Outlook content is surfaced and shared.
## Connecting a second Microsoft account
If you have more than one Microsoft account to connect, open **Manage** on the Microsoft tile and click **Add account**.
Even when the Microsoft tile shows **Connected** and the status reads **Synced**, you can still see no emails and no calendar events at all. When *everything* is empty like this — rather than a few specific items missing — the sign‑in connected to the wrong mailbox. It's almost always one of these two things.
If your account is otherwise working and only some meetings or a particular contact's emails are missing, see the two questions below instead.
**1. You may have signed in with the wrong type of account.**
When you sign in, Microsoft sometimes asks you to choose between a **Work or school account** and a **Personal account**. Your Continuum email and calendar live on your work account, so always choose **Work or school account**. If you pick **Personal** by mistake, Continuum connects to an empty mailbox and nothing syncs — even though the tile still says Connected.
To fix it, click **Disconnect**, then reconnect and choose **Work or school account** when Microsoft asks.
**2. Your company's email may not be on Microsoft 365.**
Continuum syncs with email and calendars hosted on **Microsoft 365**. Some companies run their email on a separate, older system instead — your IT team may call this **Hosted Exchange**. If yours does, the Microsoft sign‑in can look like it worked, but Continuum can't actually reach your mailbox, so no email or events appear. If you're not sure which system your company uses, your IT administrator will know.
Continuum can't sync mailboxes on Hosted Exchange. To use email and calendar, your IT administrator would need to move your mailbox to Microsoft 365.
If you've checked both and things still aren't syncing, reach out to support and we'll take a look.
Your Microsoft 365 tenant requires admin consent for Continuum. Ask your IT administrator to grant tenant consent in Azure AD, then try connecting again.
One of the connected capabilities — email or calendar — has stopped syncing. Open **Manage** to see which capability is failing and click **Reconnect** next to it. This commonly happens after a password change or when your IT team rotates conditional‑access policies.
# Microsoft Dynamics 365
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/managing/microsoft-dynamics-365
Connect Microsoft Dynamics 365 to sync contacts and push meeting notes and tasks back to your CRM.
The Microsoft Dynamics 365 integration is a two‑way connection between Continuum and your Dynamics organization. Once connected, you can import contacts from Dynamics into Continuum, and push meeting summaries, notes, and tasks back to Dynamics with a single click from any meeting page.
Dynamics has two pieces of setup that other CRM integrations don't — picking which Dynamics **instance** to connect, and selecting the **Business Unit** Continuum should operate in.
For the universal connect/manage/disconnect mechanics, see the [Integrations overview](/managing/Integrations).
## Before you connect
* You'll sign in with a Microsoft 365 account that has access to your Dynamics 365 environment and permission to read contacts and create notes and tasks.
* If your tenant requires admin consent for third‑party apps, your IT administrator may need to grant Continuum tenant‑level consent first.
## Connecting Microsoft Dynamics 365
A confirmation dialog appears with the permissions Continuum requests.
A Microsoft sign‑in popup opens. Sign in with the account that has Dynamics access and approve the permissions.
If your account has access to more than one Dynamics environment, the **Instance picker** dialog appears next. Choose the environment you want Continuum to connect to (production, sandbox, etc.). If you only have access to one, this step is skipped automatically.
The Manage dialog opens with a **Business Unit** selector. Pick the unit Continuum should operate within — this controls which contacts and records are visible. Click **Save** to finish.
## Dynamics‑specific settings
Open **Manage** on the Dynamics tile to change configuration after connecting:
* **Business Unit** — the Dynamics business unit Continuum operates in. Switching this changes which contacts and records Continuum can see. The list is searchable if your environment has many units.
* **Connection details** — shows the Dynamics instance URL and the account you authorized with.
**Sync status** — current state of contact sync, plus the time of the last successful sync.
Changing the Business Unit doesn't move records you've already imported. It only changes the scope of future syncs and pushes.
## What gets pushed to Dynamics
From a meeting in Continuum, click **Push to CRM** to send the meeting back to Dynamics. The push includes:
* The meeting summary, organized by your meeting template
* Notes you added before and during the meeting
* Tasks (with due dates and assignees) generated from the meeting
* Meeting metadata — date, time, attendees
Pushes are one‑click and idempotent — pushing the same meeting twice updates the existing record rather than creating duplicates.
## Importing contacts from Dynamics
Contacts don't sync automatically the first time. To bring contacts in:
1. Go to **People** in the left sidebar
2. Click **+ New Contact** > **Import from CRM**
3. Pick the Dynamics contacts you want to bring in
After import, contact updates flow automatically.
## Disconnecting
Open **Manage** and click **Disconnect**. Contacts you've already imported stay in Continuum — they just stop updating. You can reconnect at any time; you'll re‑pick the instance and Business Unit during reconnect.
## Troubleshooting
Disconnect from the Manage dialog and reconnect. The instance picker appears whenever your account has access to more than one Dynamics environment.
Check your **Business Unit** in the Manage dialog. Dynamics scopes records by business unit, so changing the unit changes where notes land. Switch to the right one and try a fresh push.
Your Microsoft tenant requires admin consent before users can authorize Continuum. Ask your IT administrator to grant tenant consent for Continuum in Azure AD, then try again.
Two things to check: (1) you've actually imported them via **People > + New Contact > Import from CRM**, and (2) those contacts live under the Business Unit you selected in Manage.
# Other CRMs
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/managing/other-crms
HubSpot, Wealthbox, Cloven, Zoho CRM, and Equisoft — connect, import contacts, and push meeting notes.
A handful of CRM integrations follow the standard connect flow and don't need any provider‑specific configuration beyond signing in. This page covers all of them in one place:
* HubSpot
* Wealthbox
* Cloven
* Zoho CRM
* Equisoft
For the universal connect/manage/disconnect mechanics — what status badges mean, how to reconnect, multi‑account behavior — see the [Integrations overview](/managing/Integrations).
## What these integrations have in common
Each is a two‑way CRM connection that lets you:
* Import contacts from the CRM into Continuum, via **People > + New Contact > Import from CRM**
* Push meeting summaries, notes, and tasks back to the CRM with the **Push to CRM** button on any meeting page
* Keep contact data up to date as it changes in the CRM
Connecting any of them works the same way: click **Connect** on the tile, sign in to the provider in a popup, approve the requested permissions, and you're done. There's no extra settings screen beyond connection status, last sync, and **Reconnect/Disconnect**.
### Connecting
Find the CRM tile (use the search bar or the **CRM** category tab to filter).
A confirmation dialog lists the permissions Continuum will request. Click **Connect** and sign in to the provider in the popup.
The tile updates to **Connected**. Head to **People > + New Contact > Import from CRM** to bring contacts into Continuum.
Make sure the user account you sign in with has permission to read contacts and create notes and tasks in the CRM. Locked‑down or view‑only users may cause **Push to CRM** to fail later.
## What gets pushed to your CRM
From a meeting in Continuum, click **Push to CRM** to send:
* The meeting summary, organized by your meeting template
* Notes you added before and during the meeting
* Tasks (with due dates and assignees)
* Meeting metadata — date, time, attendees
Pushes are idempotent — pushing the same meeting twice updates the existing record rather than creating a duplicate.
## Disconnecting
Open **Manage** on the tile and click **Disconnect**. Already‑imported contacts stay in Continuum but stop updating; you can reconnect at any time to resume syncing.
### Troubleshooting
Check that the CRM tile shows **Connected** in Settings > Integrations. If it shows **Needs attention** or **Not Connected**, reconnect from the Manage dialog.
Contacts don't sync automatically on first connect. Use **People > + New Contact > Import from CRM** to bring them in. After that, future changes do sync automatically.
The authorization has expired or been revoked from the provider side (common after a password change). Open **Manage** and click **Reconnect** — your settings and imported contacts are preserved.
Equisoft and Laylah are available based on your country. If you don't see Equisoft, Laylah, or another expected integration, it may not be offered in your region yet.
# Salesforce
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/managing/salesforce
Connect Salesforce to import contacts and push meeting notes and tasks back to your CRM.
The Salesforce integration is a two‑way connection between Continuum and your Salesforce org. Once connected, you can import contacts from Salesforce into Continuum, and push meeting summaries, notes, and tasks back to Salesforce with a single click from any meeting page.
For the universal connect/manage/disconnect mechanics, see the [Integrations overview](/managing/Integrations).
## Before you connect
* You'll sign in with a Salesforce user that has permission to read contacts and create notes and tasks. Most standard user profiles work; locked‑down profiles may not.
* If your org uses a sandbox, Continuum connects to the sandbox or production org of whichever account you sign in with.
## Connecting Salesforce
A confirmation dialog appears showing the permissions Continuum will request.
A Salesforce sign‑in popup opens. Approve access for Continuum.
The Manage dialog opens automatically. Choose how Continuum should write notes and which object holds your contacts (see below), then click **Save**.
## Salesforce‑specific settings
Open **Manage** on the Salesforce tile to see these options:
**Note object type** — chooses which Salesforce object Continuum uses when you push a meeting summary back:
* **Standard Note** — the classic Salesforce `Note` object. Available in every org.
* **Enhanced Note (ContentNote)** — the newer rich‑text note object. Only selectable if your org has Enhanced Notes enabled; otherwise this option is disabled.
**Contact object type** — chooses where Continuum looks for your client records and where new associations are written:
* **Contact** (default) — the standard person object.
* **Account** — use if your org models clients as Accounts rather than Contacts (common in some advisor configurations).
**Contact sync** — toggle whether Continuum periodically pulls contact updates from Salesforce. With sync on, contact changes in Salesforce show up in Continuum on a regular interval. With sync off, contacts you've imported stop updating but remain in Continuum.
## What gets pushed to Salesforce
From a meeting in Continuum, click **Push to CRM** to send the meeting back to Salesforce.
When you first connect Salesforce, push **one** meeting end‑to‑end and confirm it landed where you expect before relying on the integration day‑to‑day. This catches any object‑type or permission mismatches early.
## Importing contacts from Salesforce
Contacts don't sync automatically the first time. To bring contacts in:
1. Go to **People** in the left sidebar
2. Click **+ New Contact** > **Import from CRM**
3. Pick the Salesforce contacts you want to bring in
After import, contact updates flow automatically as long as **Contact sync** is on in the Manage dialog.
## Disconnecting
Open **Manage** and click **Disconnect**. Contacts you've already imported stay in Continuum — they just stop updating. Future meetings will still capture and summarize as normal; they just won't push to Salesforce until you reconnect.
## Troubleshooting
Check that Salesforce shows **Connected** in Settings > Integrations. If it shows **Needs attention** or **Not Connected**, reconnect from the Manage dialog.
Your Salesforce org doesn't have Enhanced Notes enabled. Ask your Salesforce admin to enable Notes in Setup, then reopen the Manage dialog.
Open **Manage** and check your **Contact object type** setting. If your org uses Accounts as the primary client record, switch it from Contact to Account. Already‑pushed notes don't move; only future pushes will use the new setting.
Use **People > + New Contact > Import from CRM** to bring contacts in — they don't sync automatically. After import, future changes to those contacts in Salesforce do sync if Contact sync is on.
# After a Meeting
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/meetings/after-meet
Transform your recording into actionable insights and share them with your team.
Once your meeting ends, Continuum transforms your conversation into actionable insights, organized summaries, and synced tasks. Here's how to make the most of everything you just captured.
A meeting's location, participants, and time are interactive — select any of them to open a popover with more detail.
## Generating Your AI Summary
After you click **Generate** to create your AI-powered summary, you'll see the meeting page transform and two new tabs appear: Summary and Tasks.
**What's included in your summary:** By default, Continuum's AI organizes your summary in the way it determines will be most useful based on your conversation. This automatic organization is already highly effective and loved by our users. The AI intelligently identifies and structures:
* Key discussion points and main topics covered
* Action items and follow-ups
* Decisions made during the conversation
* Client concerns or questions raised
* Next steps and recommended actions
The AI analyzes both your audio recording and any notes you added before or during the meeting to create a comprehensive, context-aware summary.
## Using Summary Templates
While Continuum's default AI organization works great for most meetings, you may have a specific way you prefer to structure your summaries. That's where templates come in handy.
Click the **Auto format** dropdown in your summary view to select a template. When you choose one, Continuum regenerates your summary organized according to that structure.
Templates help you maintain consistency across similar meeting types and match your preferred documentation style. Learn more about creating and customizing templates in our [Templates documentation](#).
## Reviewing and Editing Your Summary
Your generated summary appears in the meeting view, organized into clear sections for easy scanning. Click into any section to edit the AI-generated content. You can refine wording or add clarity, include additional context or observations, reorganize sections to match your preference. Changes save automatically as you type.
**Editing with the AI Ask Bar:** You can also edit your summary just by talking to the AI. Open the Ask Bar at the bottom of your meeting page and tell it what you'd like to change — fix a name spelling, reassign a speaker label, correct a detail, or rephrase a section. The AI understands the context of the meeting you're viewing and applies your changes directly to the summary and transcript.
For example, you can type "Correct Morrison spelling and reassign speaker on paragraph 3 to Linda" and the AI will scan the transcript, fix every instance, and show you exactly what changed. It's the fastest way to clean up your notes without manually editing each section yourself.
Learn more about the AI Ask Bar and everything it can do in our [AI Floating Bar documentation](/ask-ai/ai-ask-bar).
**Accessing the full transcript:** Click the **View transcript** button in the capture controls at the bottom of your screen to pull up the complete transcript. You can use it to verify specific quotes, find exact wording from the conversation, and reference specific moments.
**Tip**: Click **Copy transcript** on the top right to copy the entire transcript to your clipboard in one click — useful for pasting into your CRM, compliance records, or any other system where you need the full conversation on file.
## Managing Tasks
After your meeting, Continuum's AI automatically suggests tasks based on what was discussed during your conversation. These show up in the Tasks tab on the right side of your meeting view.
**Reviewing suggested tasks:** The AI identifies action items, follow-ups, and commitments made during the meeting. Each suggested task includes the task description, a suggested due date (if one was mentioned), and an assignee (if applicable).
**Working with tasks:**
* Click any suggested task to edit the details before adding it
* Click the **+** button to add the task to your active task list
* Create your own tasks manually by clicking **+ Active tasks**
* Mark tasks complete as you finish them
Once added, tasks move to your centralized **Tasks** page where you can track them alongside everything else your team is working on — filter by assignee, tag, or client, update statuses, and add detailed notes. Learn more in our [Tasks documentation](/overview/tasks).
## Keep the Conversation Going with AI Ask
The AI assistant remains available after your meeting ends, now with the complete context of what was just discussed.
**Post-meeting questions you can ask:**
* "Draft a follow-up email to this client"
* "Create action items from this meeting"
* "What are the key takeaways I should remember?"
* "Compare this conversation to our last meeting"
* "What questions did the client ask that I didn't fully answer?"
* "Generate talking points for our next meeting"
You'll see suggested prompts like "Draft a follow-up email" right there at the bottom of your screen. Click any suggestion for instant results, or type your own question in the "Ask anything" field. The AI has full access to your transcript, summary, and notes, making it incredibly powerful for post-meeting work.
## Syncing with Your CRM
Keep your CRM current by pushing meeting summaries and tasks directly from Continuum. No manual data entry required.
**To sync with your CRM:** Click the **Push to CRM** button at the top of your meeting view. This sends your meeting summary, notes, and any active tasks to your connected CRM, creating a complete record of your client interaction.
**What gets synced:**
* Meeting summary organized by your chosen template
* Notes you added before and during the meeting
* Active tasks with due dates and assignees
* Meeting metadata (date, time, attendees)
**Need to set up your CRM?** If you haven't connected your CRM yet, learn how to set up the integration in [Settings > Integrations](#). Continuum supports major CRM platforms financial advisors use.
## Sharing Your Meeting
Share your meeting summary and notes with your team while maintaining control over who can access and edit your content.
**To share a meeting:** Click the **Share** button at the top of your meeting view to open sharing options.
**Default sharing preference:**
* **Private** - Only you can access this meeting (default)
* **Organization** - Anyone in your organization can access this meeting
* **Specific people** - Share with selected team members by searching for their names
**Choosing an access level:** When you share a meeting, you choose an access level for each person:
* **Can view** - Read the summary, transcript, notes, and tasks.
* **Can edit** - Everything in **Can view**, plus the ability to update the meeting title, participants, next steps, and notes. This is useful for an assistant who manages your follow-ups.
**Owner-only actions:** A few actions always stay with the meeting owner, regardless of someone's access level: re-sharing the meeting, "Call me," and deleting the meeting.
## Deleting a Meeting
To delete a meeting, open it or find it in your meeting list, choose **Delete** from the meeting's menu, and confirm.
Deletes are permanent and can't be undone. You can't delete a meeting while it's in an active phone call.
***
## Finding Past Meetings
All your captured meetings live in the Meetings page, making it easy to find and reference past conversations.
**Search and filter:**
* Search by client name, meeting title, or content
* Filter by date range, participants, or tags
* View meetings by client to see complete conversation history
**Tagging meetings:** Add tags to meetings for better organization:
* Client type (new prospect, existing client, high-priority)
* Meeting purpose (planning review, portfolio update, discovery call)
* Topics discussed (retirement, estate planning, tax strategy)
Tags make it easier to find related meetings and identify patterns across your client base.
***
## Storage and Data Security
Your privacy and data security are our top priorities. Continuum uses audio during your meeting solely to generate the transcript. The audio itself is never stored on our servers.
**What Continuum stores:**
* **Transcript** - The text version of your conversation
* **Summary** - Your AI-generated summary (regenerated when you change templates)
* **Notes** - Any notes you added before, during, or after the meeting
* **Tasks** - Action items created from the meeting
**What we don't store:**
* **Audio recordings** - Audio is processed in real-time for transcription, then immediately discarded.
This approach ensures your sensitive client conversations remain secure while still giving you all the documentation and insights you need.
**Data retention:** Your transcripts, summaries, notes, and tasks are stored securely for as long as you need them. You have full control over your data and can delete meetings at any time.
Deleted meetings cannot be recovered, so make sure to export any information you need before deleting. If you've synced the meeting to your CRM, that record remains in your CRM—only the Continuum record is deleted.
***
## Continuous Improvement
The more you use Continuum, the better it becomes at understanding your preferences and needs.
**What improves over time:**
* Summary quality and relevance for your specific practice
* Recognition of recurring topics and client concerns
* Suggested prompts tailored to your workflow
* Action item identification based on your patterns
You can provide feedback on any summary by clicking the thumbs up/down icons. This helps Continuum learn what's most valuable to you and improves future summaries.

## Troubleshooting
### I captured a meeting in Continuum, but I can’t find it
If you can’t find a meeting—or you found it but it has no notes—the meeting was likely captured, **but its notes haven’t been generated yet**.
Capturing a meeting and generating its notes are two separate steps. When a meeting ends, Continuum saves the full transcript, but it doesn’t create notes until you click **Generate**.
Your meeting hasn’t been lost. It’s simply hidden from the default view until its notes are generated.
**Captured meetings don’t expire**. You can generate notes hours or even days later, and the summary will be just as complete as if you had generated it immediately.
## Find and generate the meeting
1. Open the filter at the top of the meetings list.
2. Change **With notes** to **All meetings**.
3. Find the meeting by its title, date, or participants. It will appear without a summary.
4. Open the meeting and click **Generate** at the bottom of the meeting view.
Once the notes are generated, the meeting will appear in your default past meetings view. From there, you can share it, push it to your CRM, or ask Continuum AI about it.
# Before a Meeting
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/meetings/before-meet
Getting the most out of Continuum starts before your meeting even begins.
Here you’ll learn how Continuum can help you prepare for an upcoming meeting.
To get started, you’ll need to complete a few setup steps before your first meeting.
**Quick Start Checklist**:
☐ [Connected your calendar](/managing/Integrations)
☐ Enabled notifications
☐ Checked your audio input in Sound settings (see below)
☐ Familiarized yourself with the [Capture Controls](/meetings/during-meet)
Once you've checked these off, you're ready to capture your first meeting. When your notification appears, simply click to launch and hit Capture when the meeting begins.
## How We Detect Meetings
Continuum automatically identifies meetings on your calendar that are ready to capture. We look for events that include video conferencing links (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams), multiple attendees, or time blocks marked as busy.
These meetings show up in your Continuum dashboard as soon as we spot them, giving you visibility into what's coming up and time to prepare.
## Pre-Meeting Notifications
We'll send a **push notification 1 minute before** your scheduled meeting begins. You should see this appear in the top right corner of your screen.
* Click the notification to open the meeting in Continuum.
* You’ll see the meeting name, attendees, a dedicated space for notetaking and the **Capture** button.
* **Press Capture** when the meeting starts — Continuum begins recording audio from your microphone and speaker instantly.
### Capturing Unscheduled Conversations
Continuum can also detect when you're on an active call, even if it's not scheduled in your calendar. When a call begins, we'll offer you the option to start capturing. This feature is perfect to remind you to capture those spontaneous conversations that happen throughout your workday, like an unexpected FaceTime with a client or a last-minute call with a colleague.
***
## Recording meetings not in your calendar
Sometimes you need to record a meeting that wasn't scheduled in your synced calendar — maybe it's an impromptu call, a walk-in, or a meeting from a calendar you haven't connected yet.
Here's how to capture those meetings in Continuum:
### Creating a manual meeting
1. Click **+ New Meeting** in the Meetings section
2. Add a title for the meeting
3. Optionally, add participants — search your existing contacts, or create a new contact inline without leaving the meeting
4. Click **Capture** to begin recording
5. Record as usual using Continuum's capture tools
When you add participants here, this information is **only stored in Continuum** to link discussion topics to their profiles. It does **not** send any calendar invites or notifications to those people — it simply helps you and Continuum AI to keep track of who was in the meeting.
You won't be able to edit the meeting start time when creating a manual meeting. Continuum will automatically use the time when you click **Capture** to start recording.
That's it! Your meeting will be transcribed and summarized just like any other Continuum meeting, with all discussions properly linked to your clients' profiles.
***
## Checking Your Audio Input
Before you hit Capture, you can verify that Continuum is picking up audio from the right source. Click the **three-dot menu** (⋮) in the top right of your meeting view and select **Sound settings** — this opens your computer's audio settings where you can choose your microphone and audio source.
This is especially useful if you switch between setups throughout the day — headphones for a Zoom call, your laptop mic for an in-person meeting, or an external microphone for a quiet recording. A quick check before you start ensures Continuum captures clean audio from the right input every time.
***
## Preparing Meeting Context
On the meeting details page, there's a notes field where you can add context at any stage—before, during, or after your meeting. Think of it as your workspace for everything related to the conversation.
**What you might include:** Use this space however works for you. Some advisors add agenda items they want to cover, background info about the client or topic, key objectives for the conversation, or any context that'll help guide the discussion. Adding context helps the AI understand what matters most to you, making your summaries sharper and more relevant.
**How it works:** Click on any upcoming meeting in your Continuum dashboard to open the meeting view. You'll see the notes field right there—start typing to add your pre-meeting thoughts. During the meeting, your notes stay available so you can jot down important points, flag key topics, or mark significant moments. After everything wraps up and your AI summary is generated, your notes remain accessible alongside the summary for future reference.
**Tip:** Notes are completely optional. The AI will already create solid summaries on its own, but adding context before or during your meeting can make them even sharper and more tailored. The more context you provide, the better Continuum can identify what's important and organize your takeaways effectively.
***
## Prepare with the AI Ask Bar
The AI assistant bar at the bottom of your meeting view is one of Continuum's most powerful features. Even before your meeting starts, you can ask anything about the upcoming conversation and get intelligent, context-aware answers.
**How it works:** Continuum has access to your entire meeting history, so it can surface relevant insights from past conversations with the same client or about similar topics. You can simply click on the "**Prepare me for this meeting**" prompt and the AI will automatically pull together key information: recent discussions with this client, outstanding action items, important dates or deadlines mentioned previously, and topics that might need follow-up.
Want something specific? Type your own question directly in the "Ask anything" field.
### **What you can ask:**
* What did we discuss in our last meeting with this client?
* What action items are still pending from our past meetings?
* Summarize all previous conversations about their retirement planning
* Has this client mentioned their children's education planning before?
**Why this matters:** Instead of scrambling through past notes or trying to remember what you discussed months ago, Continuum surfaces the right information at the right time. You walk into every meeting fully prepared, with your client's complete history at your fingertips—making you look sharp and helping you provide better, more personalized service.
**Tip**: The AI assistant is available before, during, and after your meetings, so you can ask questions whenever you need support.
***
## Important privacy notes
Continuum only captures audio when you explicitly start recording—we never record without your action. You can stop or resume at any time during the meeting, and all transcripts are encrypted and stored securely. You control who has access to your meeting notes and summaries. And we never store audio recordings. Audio is processed in real-time to create your transcript, then immediately discarded.
# During a Meeting
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/meetings/during-meet
Once your meeting begins, Continuum gives you full control over what gets captured and how. From starting your transcribing to pausing for private conversations, here's everything you need to know about managing your meeting in real-time.
## Starting Your Capture
To begin capturing your meeting, you have two options:
**Via notification:** Click the reminder notification that appears one minute before your meeting starts. This will open the meeting view in Continuum with the Capture button ready.
**Via capture controls:** Open Continuum at any time, navigate to your meeting, and click the **Capture** button. Continuum instantly begins transcribing audio from both your microphone and system audio.
## Capture Controls
Once you start capturing, the controls transform to show your active transcription status.
### How do I know it's capturing?
You'll see animated audio waveform bars on the left side of the controls, moving in real-time to show that Continuum is actively capturing and transcribing your conversation.
### Live Transcript
The middle button opens your live transcript, showing what Continuum has captured so far in real-time. This is helpful for:
* Verifying that audio is being captured correctly
* Checking if specific points were transcribed
* Following along with the conversation text
### Stop and resume
Need to have a private sidebar conversation or go off the record? Simply click **Stop** to temporarily stop recording. The audio capture stops immediately, and the controls change to show a play button. Click it to resume capturing whenever you're ready to continue. Everything between pause and resume won't be included in your recording or transcript.
**When to pause:**
* Discussing sensitive personal matters
* Having internal team conversations during client calls
* Taking a break or handling an interruption
* Any moment you want to keep off the record
### Ending Your Meeting
When your meeting concludes and you're ready to generate your AI summary, click **Stop** one final time, then click **Generate**.
**Stop and Generate are two separate steps.** Stop ends the transcription. Generate turns that transcript into your summary, tasks, and next steps. Processing typically takes 1-2 minutes, depending on the length of your meeting.
**Don't skip Generate.** If you stop a capture without generating it, your transcript is saved but no notes are created — and the meeting won't appear in your past meetings list, because that list only shows meetings with notes by default.
Nothing is lost. You can generate the meeting later by switching your past meetings filter to **All meetings**. See [Missing meetings and notes](/meetings/after-meet#i-captured-a-meeting-in-continuum-but-i-can’t-find-it).
You can close the meeting view after clicking Generate—Continuum continues processing in the background, and you'll receive a notification when your summary is ready.
## Navigating Continuum During Capture
You can freely navigate through Continuum while your meeting is being captured. Browse past meetings, check your tasks, or use Ask Continuum—the capture continues uninterrupted in the background.
**Visual confirmation:** Even as you move between pages, you'll always see a capture indicator at the bottom of your screen showing that your meeting is actively recording. This persistent reminder ensures you never lose track of an active capture.
## The Desktop Capture Notch
When you minimize Continuum or switch to other applications during your meeting, a compact capture notch remains visible on your desktop.
This floating control serves two important purposes:
**1. Visual confirmation** The notch shows that Continuum is actively capturing, even when the app isn't in focus. You'll see the animated waveform bars moving in real-time, giving you peace of mind that your meeting is being recorded.
**2. Quick access to controls** Click the notch to return to the meeting page at Continuum and access your capture controls—stop the recording and view the live transcript. This makes it easy to manage your capture without switching applications.
**Important: Remember to stop.**
The notch also serves as a crucial reminder to stop your capture when the meeting ends. If you forget to click Stop, Continuum continues recording everything, including post-meeting conversations, music, or any audio from your computer.
Always click Stop as soon as your meeting concludes, then click Generate to create your summary.
***
## Adding Notes During the Meeting
Your notes field remains available throughout the meeting, allowing you to capture important moments in real-time.
**Why add notes during your meeting:**
* Flag key topics or decisions as they happen
* Mark important timestamps you'll want to reference later
* Add context that will help the AI understand what matters most
* Jot down follow-up items while they're fresh
These notes are combined with your audio recording to generate a more accurate and relevant AI summary. The more you capture during the meeting, the better Continuum can identify priorities and organize your takeaways.
**Tip:** You don't need to write everything down—Continuum is already capturing the full conversation. Use notes for highlights, action items, or anything you want to make sure appears prominently in your summary.
***
## Using AI Ask Bar During Your Meeting
The AI assistant remains available while your meeting is in progress. If you need to quickly reference something from a past conversation or look up client information without interrupting the flow of your meeting, simply type your question in the Ask bar.
**Common use cases during meetings:**
* "What rate did we discuss for their mortgage last time?"
* "When did this client say they wanted to retire?"
* "What was their previous portfolio allocation?"
* "Remind me what we agreed to follow up on"
The AI will respond helping you stay sharp and informed without missing a beat.
***
## Troubleshooting During Transcribing
**Audio not capturing?** Check that Continuum has permission to access your microphone and system audio in your system settings. You may need to restart the capture after granting permissions.
**Recording indicator disappeared?** If you don't see the red recording indicator, your capture may have stopped unexpectedly. Click Capture again to resume recording.
**Performance issues?** If Continuum feels slow or unresponsive during a meeting, try closing other resource-intensive applications. Recording quality won't be affected, but the interface may be more responsive.

# Notetaking Tips
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/meetings/notetaking-tips
Simple habits that improve transcript accuracy and summary quality.
## Writing your own notes during the call
Continuum automatically captures and transcribes your meetings, so you don’t need to take notes unless you want to. The notetaker is designed to reliably capture key points, action items, and decisions on its own. But adding your own notes is a powerful way to **personalize and guide the AI notetaker** toward what matters most to you.
Your notes are your **personal takeaways**—a place to jot down what stood out to you, highlight key moments, or capture thoughts in your own words. They're also incorporated into Continuum’s AI-generated summary, helping it better reflect your **perspective, priorities, and any emotional nuance or client reactions** you noticed.
Use this space to:
* Flag follow-ups or details you want highlighted
* Add personal context or next steps in your own words
* Capture nuances or client reactions the AI might not recognize
To take notes:
1. Open the **Notes tab** during the meeting.
2. Type freely—everything saves automatically.
3. After the meeting, your notes are integrated and prioritized in the summary.
## Using headphones for best audio quality
Continuum is designed to capture clear audio automatically, even in typical office or home environments—no special equipment required.
That said, if you want the **crispest possible transcription and summaries**, using headphones (or a simple headset) can make a noticeable difference. Headphones help the AI separate your voice from background noise and reduce echo from your speakers, especially when several people are speaking at once.
Think of it as a **pro tip**, not a requirement—just an easy way to help Continuum deliver studio-quality clarity when it matters most.
**Tip:** Before you start capturing, click the **three-dot menu** (⋮) on your meeting page and select **Sound settings** to confirm which microphone and audio source Continuum is using. This takes two seconds and ensures you're always recording from the right input — especially helpful when switching between headphones, an external mic, or your laptop speakers throughout the day.
## Understanding Transcript Accuracy
It’s normal for transcripts to occasionally miss or mishear a few words—especially if people talk over each other, use speakerphones, or there’s background noise. Continuum’s AI is designed to **understand context**, so even when the raw transcript isn’t perfect, the **summary and action items will still capture the full meaning** of your conversation.
You don’t need to edit or correct anything manually. The notetaker automatically cleans up the text, interprets intent, and fills in gaps using the surrounding dialogue.
If something important was discussed but phrased unclearly in the transcript, you can always add a quick note in your own words (your notes influence the AI summary) and regenerate the meeting.

# Meetings
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/overview/meetings
Prepare for what’s coming up, review past meetings and access summaries.
Meetings are at the heart of Continuum. We help you prepare with AI-powered context, capture conversations effortlessly, and turn recordings into actionable summaries—all automatically.
## How Meetings Work in Continuum
Every meeting flows through three simple stages, and Continuum is there to help at each one.
**Before your meeting:** Get AI-powered preparation that pulls together everything you need to know—past conversations with this client, pending action items, trending topics, and suggested talking points. Walk into every meeting confident and ready.
**During your meeting:** Start capturing with one click. Continuum records audio from your microphone and system, transcribing everything in real-time. You stay in control—pause when you need privacy, add notes as things come up, and ask the AI questions without interrupting the conversation.
**After your meeting:** Click Generate and Continuum transforms your recording into an organized summary with key discussion points, action items, decisions made, and next steps. Edit it, share it with your team, sync it to your CRM—all in minutes, not hours.
## Automatic Meeting Detection
Continuum syncs with your calendar and automatically detects upcoming meetings. You'll get a notification one minute before each meeting starts, making it easy to jump in and start capturing.
We also detect unscheduled calls—like spontaneous Slack huddles, FaceTime calls, or WhatsApp conversations—and offer you the option to capture those too. No calendar event required.
## What Makes Continuum Different
**Privacy-first design:** We never store audio recordings. Audio is processed in real-time to create your transcript, then immediately discarded. Only the text transcript and your summary remain, keeping sensitive client conversations secure.
**Context-aware AI:** The AI doesn't just transcribe—it understands. It knows who you're meeting with, what you've discussed before, and what matters most. This context powers better summaries, smarter preparation, and more relevant insights.
**Flexible and in your control:** Capture only what you want. Start and stop recording anytime. Edit AI-generated summaries to make them perfect. Choose what gets shared and what stays private. Continuum adapts to how you work.
***
## Upload a meeting you held outside of Continuum
If you had a meeting outside of Continuum (for example, a call that was recorded elsewhere), you can still add it so Continuum AI can use that conversation as additional context for future prep, summaries, and follow-ups.
**To upload a previous meeting:**
1. Go to **Meetings**.
2. On the top-right, click the **chevron (▾)** inside the **+ New meeting** button.
3. Select **Upload previous meeting**.
4. Upload your meeting file (audio or transcript).
5. Select the **participants**.
6. Click **Create**.
Once uploaded, the meeting will appear in your Meetings list like any other—so you can search it, review it, and reference it later.
**Removing a meeting:** Need to clear out a meeting you no longer want? You can delete it permanently. See [After a Meeting](/meetings/after-meet) for the steps.
***
## Where to Go Next
Ready to dive deeper? Here's where to start based on what you need:
Learn how to prepare with AI, add context notes, and walk into every conversation fully ready.
Understand how to start capturing, manage recording controls, and use AI assistance in real-time.
Discover how to generate summaries, manage tasks, share with your team, and sync to your CRM.
A powerful way to personalize and guide the AI notetaker toward what matters most to you
## Getting Started with Your First Meeting
New to Continuum? Here's the fastest way to get value from your first meeting:
1. Connect your calendar in Settings > Integrations
2. Wait for your next meeting notification (or open any upcoming meeting manually)
3. Click "Prepare me for this meeting" to see what AI-powered prep looks like
4. When the meeting starts, click Capture
5. After the meeting ends, click Stop, then Generate
6. Review your AI summary and see how much time you just saved
That's it. You're now using Continuum to make every meeting more productive.
## Tips for Success
**Prepare more, not less:** The time you save on documentation can go into better preparation. Use AI Ask before meetings to really understand what matters to each client.
**Trust the AI, then refine:** Continuum's summaries are already great, but they get even better when you add a sentence of context here or there. A 90% summary that you polish to 100% is still way faster than starting from scratch.
**Capture everything at first:** Don't overthink which meetings to capture early on. Capture everything for a week or two to see how powerful it is to have complete records. You can always be more selective later.
**Use templates for recurring meetings:** If you do quarterly reviews, annual planning sessions, or portfolio updates regularly, create a template. Consistency makes your documentation more valuable over time.
**Share strategically:** Client-facing summaries can strengthen relationships by showing you're organized and attentive. Internal summaries help your team stay aligned. Choose what to share based on what adds value.
# Mobile App (iOS & Android)
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/overview/mobile-app
Capture in-person meetings, review summaries, and ask AI questions about your conversations — all from your phone.
The Continuum mobile app is designed for advisors on the go. Whether you're heading into a client lunch, an office visit, or a quick catch-up between meetings, you can capture everything and have it synced with your desktop by the time you're back at your desk.
## Downloading the App
* **iOS:** [Download on the App Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/continuum-ai/id6749549104)
* **Android:** [Download on Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oncontinuum.app\&pli=1)
Once installed, open the app and **sign in with the same Microsoft or Google account** you use on desktop.
***
## Your Meetings View
When you open the app, you'll see your meetings organized into two tabs: **Upcoming** and **Past**.
* **Upcoming** shows meetings pulled from your connected calendar, sorted by date.
* **Past** shows all previously captured meetings with their summaries ready to review.
At the bottom right of the screen, you'll always see a **+ New** button — use this to create a meeting on the spot if it's not already on your calendar.
## Starting a Meeting
You have two ways to start recording:
**From a scheduled meeting:**
1. Tap the meeting from your Upcoming list.
2. A drawer will slide up showing the meeting title, time, and participants.
3. Tap the green **Start now** button to begin recording.
**From a new meeting:**
1. Tap the **+ New** button in the bottom right corner.
2. Give the meeting a name.
3. Tap **Start now** to begin recording.
**Tip:** Place your phone on the table near the conversation to **ensure clear audio capture**. The closer it is to the speakers, the better your transcript will be.
## During the Meeting
Once recording starts, Continuum captures everything through your phone's microphone. You'll see a live waveform confirming the recording is active.
You can **Pause** the recording at any time — for a private sidebar, a break, or anything you want to keep off the record. Tap **Resume** to continue. Everything between pause and resume won't appear in your transcript.
A recording notification also appears on your **lock screen**, showing the elapsed time. You can tap **End** directly from there when the meeting is over.
**Important:** Remember to tap **End** when your meeting concludes. Until you do, Continuum continues recording all audio around your phone.
## Ending the Meeting and Generating Your Summary
Tap **End** to stop the recording. Continuum will immediately start processing your audio.
You'll see a **Generating summary...** screen — this usually takes a minute or two depending on the length of your meeting. You'll receive a **push notification** as soon as your summary is ready.
## Reviewing Your Summary
Once processed, your meeting page will show:
* **Summary** — an AI-generated overview of what was discussed, organized by topic (editable)
* **Tasks** — action items identified by the AI, with suggested tasks you can accept or dismiss
You can edit the summary directly on mobile, add tasks manually, or accept any of the AI-suggested tasks.
## Chat About This Meeting
At the bottom of the meeting page, tap **Chat about this meeting** to open the Ask AI view.
Here you can ask anything specific to that meeting:
* "What were the main topics we covered?"
* "What did the client say about their retirement timeline?"
* "Draft a follow-up email based on this conversation"
* "What tasks are still open from this meeting?"
Ask AI on mobile is scoped to the specific meeting you're viewing. For practice-wide questions across all your meetings and clients, use the Ask Continuum tab on desktop.
***
## Sync with Desktop
Everything you capture on mobile syncs automatically with your Continuum desktop app. Your summaries, tasks, notes, and transcripts will be waiting for you when you're back at your desk — no manual steps required.
## Tips for Better Mobile Captures
* **Place your phone on the table** face-down or face-up near the center of the conversation for the best audio quality.
* **Use a quiet room** when possible — background noise can affect transcription accuracy.
* **Don't forget to tap End** — the lock screen notification is your reminder.
* The more meetings you run through Continuum, the better the AI gets at understanding your clients and surfacing what matters most.
# Pages
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/overview/pages
Turn a meeting, document, or idea into a branded deliverable your client can open, explore, and come back to.
A Page is a branded, interactive deliverable you send to clients and prospects. Instead of emailing a static PDF or a long follow-up message, your client gets a private link to a living, visual document built around their situation, with your branding, your voice, and an embedded AI assistant that can answer questions about the content you shared.
## How Pages are different from an email attachment
An email with an attachment can send information, but it does not give your client much context. They have to open the file, understand what matters, remember what you discussed, and come back to you with questions.
A Page packages the same information into a guided client experience. Continuum can turn meeting notes, plans, statements, or proposals into sections your client can scan, charts they can explore, next steps they can act on, and documents they can download when they need the original file.
Pages also give you visibility after you send. You can see whether your client opened the Page, what they downloaded, and whether they asked the assistant a question.
## Documents can become the Page or be attached to it
Pages can work with documents in two different ways.
**A document can become part of the Page.** Upload a financial plan, statement, proposal, or illustration and ask Continuum to pull out the important information. The Page can turn that content into summaries, charts, tables, highlights, or next steps.
**A document can be attached to the Page.** The original PDF, plan, agreement, or illustration can stay available as a downloadable file your client can save locally.
The same file can do both jobs. For example, you can ask Continuum to summarize the key projections from a financial plan in the Page, while also attaching the full PDF for download.
## When to create a Page
Pages work best when there is something for your client to review, act on, or come back to.
**After a discovery meeting with a prospect.** Send a recap of their goals, the next steps you discussed, and any introductory documents or proposals. It is a polished way to continue the conversation after the meeting.
**After a financial plan review.** Summarize the key takeaways, attach the updated plan, and give your client one place to revisit the assumptions, charts, and next steps.
**After a client meeting with action items.** Annual reviews, insurance discussions, estate planning conversations, and onboarding calls are good candidates when your client needs a clear record of what happens next.
**When you are sending documents that need context.** Instead of sending a bare PDF, wrap it in a Page with a personal message explaining what it is, why it matters, and what your client should do next.
**For proactive outreach without a meeting.** You can create a Page from scratch to send a quarterly update, package onboarding materials, explain a planning idea, or share a proposal with a prospect.
You do not need to create a Page after every single interaction. Quick check-in calls, brief admin updates, or anything that does not need a structured client-facing follow-up may be better as a normal email. Use a Page when the client would benefit from something more complete and easier to revisit.
## What your client can do with a Page
When your client opens a Page, they can:
* Review your message, summary, charts, tables, and next steps
* Download any attached documents
* Use interactive elements you included, such as charts, calculators, or scenario views
* Ask the embedded assistant questions about the Page and its attached documents
* Return to the same Page later from the secure link
**Access is limited to the clients you add to the Page**. Forwarding the link does not grant access to someone else.
**Pages are available on Continuum Pro**. Creating, editing, publishing, and tracking Pages require Pages access, but Pages you have already sent remain available to the clients who are allowed to open them.
## Where to go next
Rehearse the full client experience by sending a Page to yourself first.
Save structures you like and reuse them for recurring client deliverables.
Change the tone, add sections, restructure content, or update charts.
Publish a Page, manage who can open it, and control team access.
***
Pages is available on the Continuum Pro plan. During early access, pricing is locked at the early access rate for 12 months. For questions or feedback, reach out to your Continuum contact or email [support@oncontinuum.com](mailto:support@oncontinuum.com).
# People
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/overview/people
See the complete picture of every client and household you serve
Continuum automatically builds a living database of everyone you work with. Every conversation, every meeting, every email connects to the right person or household, giving you instant access to complete relationship histories whenever you need them.
## How Continuum Builds Your Contact Database
You don't need to manually add every person to Continuum. We pull from the sources you already use to build out your contact list automatically.
**Where contacts come from:**
* **Your CRM** - When you connect your CRM, you can import contacts directly. Go to **People** > **+ New Contact** > **Import from CRM** to bring in the contacts you need
* **Your email** - Contacts from your connected email accounts flow in seamlessly
* **Calendar invites** - Anyone you meet with gets added automatically when you capture a meeting
* **Meeting participants** - When you add someone as a participant on a meeting, you can create a new contact for them on the spot
* **Meeting participants** - When you add someone as a participant on a meeting, you can create a new contact for them on the spot
* **Manual additions** - You can always add contacts manually when needed
Once imported, the more information your CRM has about a contact, the richer their Continuum profile becomes. If they're new or have minimal info, no problem — Continuum learns about them organically as you interact.
**What Continuum learns over time:** As you capture meetings, send emails, and interact with contacts, Continuum automatically builds out their profiles with context from your conversations. Meeting history, trending topics, concerns raised, tasks created—it all connects to the right person without you doing any manual work.
## Viewing Your People List
The People page gives you a centralized view of everyone in your practice. Switch between the **Contacts** and **Households** tabs at the top depending on whether you're thinking about individuals or families.
**What you'll see for each contact:** their name and email, their contact type, the household they belong to, and your last meeting together. Click the last meeting to jump straight to that meeting's summary. You can sort the list by name or by last meeting date.
**Finding contacts quickly:** Use the search bar to find anyone by name, email, or phone number. Two filters help you narrow the list:
* **Contact type** - Show only Clients, only Prospects, or any combination of types
* **Household** - Show only the members of one or more households
**Contact types:** Every contact has a type — **Prospect**, **Client**, **Professional**, **Team**, **Archived**, or **Other** — shown as a colored badge. Click the badge right in the list (or on a contact's profile) to change it, for example when a prospect becomes a client.
**Adding a new contact:** Click the **Add contact** button in the top right to manually create a contact record with their name, email, and phone number. This is useful for prospects you haven't met with yet, referrals you want to track, or anyone who isn't already in your CRM or email. Continuum warns you if a contact with the same email or phone number already exists, so you don't create duplicates.
**Importing from your CRM:** The arrow next to **Add contact** opens the import menu. If a CRM is connected, choose **Import from CRM** (or **Refresh from CRM** after your first import) to bring contacts in — while the import runs, you'll see an **Importing contacts...** indicator at the top of the list. If you haven't connected a CRM yet, the same menu takes you to **Settings** > **Integrations** to set one up.
## **Working with households**
The **Households** tab shows every family group in your practice: the household name, its members, and the household's most recent meeting across all members.
**Managing households:**
* Click **New household** to create one — give it a name (e.g. "Smith Family") and pick its members
* Use the menu on any row to **Rename** a household, **Edit Members**, or **Delete** it
* From the Contacts tab, use the row menu on any contact to **Add to household**

Click the name or the type badge to edit them in place, and click the email or phone chip to copy it. The header also shows a **consent** chip where you can record whether this contact has given consent to being recorded, so you always know before a meeting starts.
### **The Overview tab**
This is your relationship dashboard for this person. It has two main sections:
**Client Snapshot:** Continuum's AI automatically generates a summary of your most recent interactions with this contact — what was discussed, decisions made, and what matters most right now. It's like having someone brief you before every meeting.
Click **Tell me more** to get a deeper analysis. The AI will expand on the snapshot with additional context and insights.
**Your recent interactions:** Below the snapshot, you'll see a chronological feed of everything that's happened with this contact — meetings you've captured together, updates made to their information, household changes, and more. This feed gives you the complete story of your relationship at a glance.
### Trending Topics
On the right side of every contact profile, you'll see a **Trending** section.
**What are trending topics?** These are themes that keep coming up in your conversations with this person. Continuum analyzes all your meetings, emails, and interactions to identify what's most important to them right now.
**Why this matters:** Before your next meeting, glance at the trending topics to instantly remember what's on this person's mind. It's like having conversation context delivered automatically.
**Digging into a topic:** Each topic card shows the meetings it came from. Click a topic to see a summary of the theme and the specific meetings where it was discussed, making it easy to reference past conversations.
### Meeting History
Switch to the **Meetings** tab to see every captured meeting with this contact.
Click any meeting to jump directly to that meeting's full summary, transcript, and notes. This makes it incredibly easy to reference what you discussed three months ago without digging through files.
**Before your next meeting:** You can open this tab and skim your last few conversations with the person. You'll walk in remembering exactly where you left off and what you promised to follow up on.
### **Pages**
The **Pages** tab shows every [Page](/overview/pages) associated with this contact — drafts you're working on and Pages you've already sent them. You can filter by status or author, and click any Page to open it. It's the fastest way to see what client-facing deliverables this person has received.
### Email History
The **Emails** tab shows all email correspondence with this contact or from any family member in the household, pulled from your connected email account. This gives you a complete communication timeline alongside your meeting history. Everything in one place, no jumping between apps.
### Contact Details
The **Details** tab on the right side lets you view and edit all the information Continuum has about this person.Click any field to add or update information. Changes save automatically.
**Details matter:** The more complete a contact's profile, the better Continuum can assist you. When you ask the AI about this person, it considers all available information to give you more relevant, personalized answers.
### Household Members
When viewing a household profile, you'll see a Members section showing everyone in the family.
**Managing the household:**
* Click **+ Add Member** to bring someone into the household
* Remove members if family situations change (adult children, divorce, etc.)
* Designate primary contacts—usually the main decision-makers
When you click on any member's name, you jump to their individual profile. When viewing an individual who's part of a household, click the household name in their header to zoom out to the family view. This flexibility lets you navigate naturally between perspectives.

## Using AI Ask with Contacts
When you're on any profile, the AI has full context about that person or family.
**The AI knows:**
* Complete meeting history with this person
* Trending topics from your conversations
* Email correspondence
* All details in their profile
* Recent activity and updates
**Questions you can ask:**
* What are Matthew's main concerns right now?
* When's my next meeting with this client?
* What did we discuss about life insurance?
* Has Matthew mentioned his retirement timeline?
The AI assistant on the People list also works across all contacts. Try asking "**Which clients might need follow-up soon**?" and Continuum will analyze your entire contact base to identify who you should reach out to.

## Syncing with Your CRM
Continuum works alongside your existing CRM, so you don't have to maintain two contact lists by hand.
**Bringing contacts in:** Connect your CRM in **Settings** > **Integrations**, then go to **People** > **Add contact** > **Import from CRM** to populate Continuum with your contacts and their existing information. Use **Refresh from CRM** any time to bring in what's new.
**Sending your work back:** After a meeting, use the **Push to CRM** button on the meeting page to send your meeting summary, notes, and tasks to your CRM, creating a complete record of the interaction where your team expects to find it.
**For households:** If your CRM uses household structures, Continuum brings that organization along, so family relationships stay intact.

## Best Practices for Contact Management
**Let automation do the heavy lifting:** Don't stress about maintaining every contact manually. Continuum captures most information automatically as you work. Just fill in gaps when they matter.
**Choose the right view:** Use the Contacts tab when searching for individuals or managing your full contact list. Use the Households tab when planning family meetings or thinking about collective financial situations.
**Review profiles before important meetings:** Spend two minutes in a contact's profile before any meeting. Glance at the Client Snapshot, check trending topics, and skim recent meeting history. You'll walk in confident and prepared.
**For families, think household-first:** When working with couples or families, start with the household profile to get the complete context, then drill into individual profiles if needed.
**Keep details current:** When you learn important information—a client moves, changes jobs, or hits a major life milestone—take 30 seconds to update their Details tab. Future you will be grateful.
**Keep contact types up to date:** When a prospect becomes a client, click their type badge and update it. Filtering by type is only as useful as the types themselves — and an accurate list makes questions like "prioritize my active prospects" work much better.
**Trust the AI:** Before meetings, try asking "Prepare me for my meeting with \[name]" in the AI assistant. The preparation it provides, drawing from the complete contact profile, is often better than what you'd compile manually.
# Capturing phone calls
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/overview/phone-calls
Have Continuum join your phone call and transcribe it like any other meeting — from desktop or mobile.
Continuum can sit in on your phone calls the same way it does for Zoom or in-person meetings. You start the call from your phone like you normally would, pull Continuum in, and you get back a transcript, AI summary, and tasks the moment you hang up.
## How it works
When you capture a phone call, Continuum calls **you** on a number you choose. You answer, then merge that call into the conversation you're already having with your contact. All three lines are bridged together, both sides of the conversation are captured, and a new meeting is created automatically with the transcript and summary once you hang up.
You can use this for client calls, prospecting calls, or anything else you'd normally want a notetaker on — no Zoom or video meeting required.
Call capture is generally available, and setup doesn't require verifying a phone number. Just pick the number you want Continuum to call you on and you're ready to go.
## Before your first call
**Save Continuum's phone numbers as a contact before your first call.**
When Continuum dials you, the call comes from one of our outbound numbers. If your phone doesn't recognize the number, iOS Silence Unknown Callers, Android call screening, or your carrier's spam filter may silence, screen, or block it — and the call will look like it failed.
Save these numbers to your contacts as "Continuum", so the call always rings through:
| **Canada** | **United States** |
| --------------- | ----------------- |
| +1 647 584 0205 | +1 717 702 6507 |
| +1 204 813 9124 | +1 218 505 1068 |
We rotate across these numbers, so saving all four ensures every call reaches you no matter which one we dial from.
Create a single contact called "Continuum" with all four numbers attached. That way, if we add more numbers in the future, you can append them in one place.
## Capturing a call from the desktop app
You can start a phone call from anywhere in the desktop app. There are three entry points — use whichever is closest to what you're already doing.
### From the command menu
Press `⌘K` (Mac) or `Ctrl+K` (Windows) to open the command menu, type **Capture phone call**, and hit enter. This is the fastest path from anywhere in the app.
### From the Meetings page
On the **Meetings** page, click the **New meeting** dropdown and choose **Capture phone call**. Use this when you want the call to show up in your meeting list right away.
### From an existing meeting
Open any meeting, click the **⋯** menu in the top right, and choose **Capture phone call**. Use this when you want the call attached to a meeting you've already created — for example, one auto-created from your calendar.
### The capture dialog
Whichever entry point you pick, the same short dialog opens:
Pick from your saved phone numbers, or type a new one. New numbers are saved automatically for next time.
Continuum will ring the number you selected within a few seconds.
With your contact already on the line (or after you dial them), use your phone's **Merge calls** option to bring Continuum into the conversation. From this point on, both sides of the call are captured and transcribed.
The call ends and Continuum starts processing the transcript. You'll see an **On call** indicator in the app while the call is live.
## Capturing a call from the mobile app
Make sure you're signed in.
The capture sheet slides up.
Saved numbers appear in the list. Any new number you type is saved automatically for next time.
You'll see **Calling you…** while Continuum dials, then a live timer once you answer.
Use your phone's **Merge calls** option to bring Continuum into your conversation with the contact.
Continuum jumps to a **Generating summary…** screen, then takes you to the past meeting page once the transcript is ready.
## Finding your transcripts
Every captured phone call becomes a meeting in Continuum — same as a Zoom or in-person meeting.
* **Desktop:** Open **Meetings**. Your phone call appears in the list with a **Phone call** badge in the meeting ribbon. Click in for the full transcript, AI summary, and tasks. If the call is tied to a contact, it also shows up on that contact's **Meetings** tab.
* **Mobile:** When the call ends, you're taken straight to the past meeting page. You can find it again later under your meetings list.
## FAQ & troubleshooting
The most common cause is that our number was silenced or screened by your phone. Make sure you've saved all four Continuum numbers above as a contact, then try again. iOS Silence Unknown Callers, Android call screening, and carrier spam filters will all let the call through once we're in your contacts.
Calls can run up to four hours. Plenty of room for long client conversations.
Yes — you remain responsible for confirming consent with the other party per your local laws, the same way you would with any other notetaker. See **Privacy and consent** below.
No. You place the call to your contact yourself, then merge Continuum in. This keeps your caller ID on the line with the contact, not ours.
Just trigger the capture again from the app and we'll dial you back.
Captured calls land in **Meetings** on desktop (look for the **Phone call** badge) and on the contact's **Meetings** tab if you tied the call to a contact. On mobile, you're taken straight to the past meeting page when the call ends.
## Privacy and consent
When you merge Continuum into your call, you remain responsible for confirming consent with the other party per your local laws — the same way you would with any other notetaker. Transcripts are encrypted at rest and only visible to you and people in your organization who have access to that meeting.
# Tasks
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/overview/tasks
Track every action item, follow-up, and to-do across your practice
Continuum's Tasks feature gives you a centralized place to manage everything that needs to get done — from client follow-ups that came out of a meeting to internal to-dos you create on the fly. Tasks connect directly to your meetings, clients, and team members, so nothing falls through the cracks.
## How Tasks Work in Continuum
Tasks in Continuum come from two places: **AI-generated suggestions** from your meetings, and **tasks you create manually**. Either way, every task lives in one central list where you can track progress, assign work, and stay organized across your entire team.
**What makes Continuum tasks different:** Unlike a generic to-do list, every task in Continuum is connected to context. When a task comes from a meeting, it links back to that conversation. When it's tied to a client, you can see it on their profile. This means you always know *why* something needs to be done, not just *what* needs to be done.
***
## Viewing Your Tasks
The Tasks page shows all tasks across your practice, organized by status. You'll see three sections:
**Not started:** Tasks that haven't been picked up yet. These are your upcoming work — action items waiting to be tackled.
**In Progress:** Tasks someone on your team is actively working on. This gives you a quick sense of what's in motion right now.
**Complete:** Finished tasks. These stay visible so you have a record of what's been done — useful for compliance documentation and client follow-ups.
Each task in the list shows you the key details at a glance: the task description, its tag, the associated client, who it's assigned to, and the due date.
***
## Filtering and Finding Tasks
At the top of your task list, you'll find filters to quickly narrow down what you're looking at.
**Filter by assignee:** Click **All Assignees** to see tasks assigned to a specific team member — including yourself. This is especially helpful when you want to focus on just your own work, or check in on what a team member has on their plate.
**Filter by tag:** Click **All Tags** to filter by task category. Tags like Money Movement, Client Review, Document Processing, Planning & Communication, and Investment Action help you see all tasks of a specific type at once.
**Filter by client:** Click **Any Clients** to view tasks related to a specific client or household. This is powerful when you're preparing for a meeting and want to make sure every outstanding item for that client is accounted for.
**Search:** Use the search bar on the right to find any task by keyword. Type a client name, a topic, or any part of the task description to find what you need instantly.
***
## Creating a New Task
Click the **+ New Task** button in the top right corner to create a task manually. This is useful for action items that didn't come from a captured meeting — things like internal reminders, administrative follow-ups, or proactive outreach you want to track.
**When creating a task, you can set:**
* **Task description** — What needs to be done
* **Assignee** — Who's responsible (yourself or any team member)
* **Tag** — The category this task falls under
* **Client** — Which client or household it relates to
* **Due date** — When it needs to be completed
* **Notes** — Additional context or details about the task
You can also add tasks directly from within a meeting — see [After a Meeting](/meetings/after-meet) for more on AI-suggested tasks.
***
## Task Detail View
Click on any task to open its full detail view on the right side of the screen. Here you'll see everything about the task in one place.
**What's in the detail view:**
* **Task title** — The full description of what needs to be done
* **Assignee** — Who's responsible, with the option to reassign
* **Tag** — The task's category, which you can change at any time
* **Client** — The associated client or household
* **Due date** — When the task is due
* **Notes area** — A rich text field where you can add additional context, instructions, or details about the task. Use formatting options like bold, italic, underline, lists, and links to keep your notes clear and organized.
**Editing a task:** Everything in the detail view is editable. Click any field to update it — changes save automatically. Need to reassign a task? Click the assignee and pick a new team member. Want to change the due date? Click it and select a new one.
***
## Managing Task Status
Every task has one of three statuses: **Not Started**, **In Progress**, and **Completed**.
**Updating status:** Click the status dropdown in the top right of the task detail view to change it. Moving a task to "In Progress" signals to your team that someone is actively working on it. Marking it "Completed" moves it to the Complete section of your list.
**Why status matters:** Keeping task statuses current helps your entire team understand what's been handled and what still needs attention. It also creates a clear audit trail — when a compliance officer asks what happened after a client meeting, you can point to completed tasks with timestamps and context.
***
## Working with Tags
Tags help you categorize tasks by type of work, making it easy to filter and prioritize across your team. You can create the ones that make sense for your practice and your team's workflow.
Continuum comes with built-in tags designed for financial advisory workflows, but you can customize them as you wish:
* **Money Movement** — Transfers, withdrawals, deposits, and account funding
* **Client Review** — Portfolio reviews, annual check-ins, and performance discussions
* **Document Processing** — Paperwork, signatures, account applications, and forms
* **Planning & Communication** — Meeting scheduling, follow-up emails, and outreach
* **Investment Action** — Allocation changes, rebalancing, and trade execution
**Creating a tag:** Click the tag field on any task and select **+ New tag** at the bottom of the dropdown. Choose a name and a color (Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, Pink, or Red) to make it easy to spot at a glance. You can also manage all your tags by clicking **Manage tags**.
**Adding a tag to a task:** Click the tag field on any task to see your available tags and select one. You can change it at any time.
**Clearing a tag:** If a tag doesn't apply, click **Clear selection** to remove it.
**The key is consistency**. When your whole team uses the same tags, filtering becomes powerful. You can quickly pull up all pending Document Processing tasks before a deadline, or see every Money Movement request that's still in progress.

## AI-Generated Tasks from Meetings
One of the most powerful aspects of Tasks is how they connect to your meetings. After you capture a meeting and generate a summary, Continuum's AI automatically identifies action items, follow-ups, and commitments made during the conversation.
**How it works:**
1. Capture a meeting and click **Generate** to create your summary
2. You can see the **Tasks** in your meeting view next to your meeting summary
3. Review the AI-suggested tasks — each includes a description, suggested due date, and assignee when applicable
4. Click the **+** button to add any suggested task to your active task list
5. The task automatically links back to the meeting and the associated client
**What the AI picks up on:** Continuum's AI listens for phrases like "I'll send that over by Friday," "Let's schedule a follow-up," "We need to move those funds," or "Can you prepare that document?" — and turns them into structured tasks you can act on.
Once added, these tasks appear in your Tasks page alongside everything else, fully integrated into your workflow.
Learn more about managing post-meeting tasks in [After a Meeting](/meetings/after-meet).

## Tasks and Your Team
Tasks in Continuum are shared across your team, giving everyone visibility into what needs to happen and who's handling it.
**Assigning tasks:** When you create or edit a task, you can assign it to yourself or any team member. The assignee filter on the Tasks page makes it easy for each person to see their own workload.
**Team visibility:** Everyone on your team can see all tasks, regardless of who they're assigned to. This transparency helps with coordination — if a colleague is out, you can quickly see what they had pending and pick up where they left off.
***
## Syncing Tasks with Your CRM
Tasks created in Continuum can be synced to your CRM alongside your meeting summaries and notes. Click **Push to CRM** from your meeting page to open the sync panel.
**How it works:**
1. Choose which CRM contact to sync with using the **Sync with** dropdown — this links the meeting and its tasks to the right contact record in your CRM
2. Under **Notes**, check **Summary** to push your meeting summary as a note in your CRM
3. Under **Tasks**, you'll see all available tasks from that meeting. Check the ones you want to sync, and for each one you can set a **due date** and **assign it to a CRM user** before pushing
4. Click **Sync** to send everything over
**A note on assignees:** The person assigned to a task inside Continuum is a team member in your workspace. When syncing to your CRM, **you'll need to assign the task to a CRM contact or user** — these are often different lists. This gives you the flexibility to track who's responsible internally in Continuum while making sure the task lands on the right person in your CRM.
***
## Using AI Ask with Tasks
Continuum's AI assistant has full visibility into your tasks. You can ask questions like:
* "What tasks are due this week?"
* "Do I have any outstanding follow-ups for the Miller family?"
* "What tasks did we create from yesterday's meetings?"
* "Which clients have pending money movement tasks?"
The AI pulls from your complete task list, meeting history, and client profiles to give you accurate, actionable answers.
***
## Best Practices for Task Management
**Let the AI do the heavy lifting:** After every meeting, review the AI-suggested tasks before creating your own. The AI catches things you might forget in the moment — a passing comment about needing a document, or a date mentioned for a follow-up.
**Use tags consistently:** When your whole team uses the same tags, filtering becomes powerful. You can quickly pull up all pending Document Processing tasks before a deadline, or see every Money Movement request that's still in progress.
**Keep statuses current:** A quick status update takes seconds but saves everyone time. When your team can trust that the task list reflects reality, they don't need to send "did you do this?" messages.
**Add context in notes:** A task that says "Follow up with client" is less useful six days later than one that says "Follow up with Matthew Tory about confirming IRA contribution limits before processing the \$25,000 transfer." Use the notes field to capture the *why* behind every task.
**Review before client meetings:** Before any client meeting, filter tasks by that client to see what's outstanding. Walking into a meeting knowing you've handled everything — or knowing exactly what still needs attention — makes you look prepared and professional.
# Templates
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/overview/templates
Maintain consistency over how your meeting summaries are structured
Templates help you standardize how meetings are structured and summarized across your firm. Use them to guide conversations, capture consistent notes, and generate AI-ready summaries for recurring meeting types like reviews, onboarding calls, or estate planning sessions.
## What Are Templates?
Think of templates as blueprints for your meeting summaries. Instead of letting the AI decide how to organize your summary each time, a template tells it exactly which sections to include and in what order.
**Why use templates?**
* **Consistency** - Every portfolio review follows the same structure
* **Efficiency** - No need to reorganize summaries manually
* **Professionalism** - Client-facing summaries look polished and uniform
* **Completeness** - Never forget to cover important topics
**When to use them:** Templates shine when you have recurring meeting types with predictable structures. Quarterly reviews, discovery calls, portfolio presentations—these all benefit from a consistent format. For one-off conversations or informal check-ins, the AI's automatic organization usually works great.
### Default AI Organization vs. Templates
While Continuum's AI already does a great job organizing summaries automatically, templates let you maintain consistency across similar meeting types and match your personal documentation style.
**Without a template (Auto format):** Continuum's AI analyzes your conversation and organizes the summary in whatever way makes the most sense. It identifies key themes, pulls out action items, highlights decisions, and structures everything intuitively. This works beautifully for most meetings and requires zero setup.
**With a template:** You define the exact sections you want—like "Current Portfolio Performance," "Client Concerns," "Recommended Changes," and "Next Steps." The AI then fills in those specific sections with relevant information from your conversation. You get the structure you want with the intelligence of AI doing the heavy lifting.
### Built-In Templates
Continuum comes with several pre-built templates designed specifically for financial advisors. You can use these as-is or as starting points for your own custom templates.
**Available templates:**
* **Financial Plan Presentation** - For comprehensive planning meetings covering goals, analysis, and recommendations
* **Portfolio Review** - Structured format for quarterly or annual portfolio check-ins
* **Kick-off Call** - Ideal for first meetings with new clients or prospects
* **Life Design Discovery** - Focused on understanding client values, goals, and life priorities
To use a built-in template, just click the **Auto format** dropdown in your summary view and select the template you want. Continuum regenerates your summary instantly with the new structure.
***
## Creating Custom Templates
Want to create your own template? Here's how to build one that perfectly matches your workflow.
**To create a new template:**
1. Navigate to the Templates page
2. Click + **New Template**
3. Name your template, add a description and set the visibility
4. Add your sections in the order you want them
### **Writing a Template Description**
Add a **Template Description** that explains the purpose of the meeting and what the summary should include.
This description serves as guidance for anyone using the template — it helps keep summaries clear, compliant, and focused on the client’s goals and outcomes.
For example: If it’s an *Estate Planning* meeting, include context about what to capture — such as client priorities, document updates, and next steps involving trustees or legal coordination.
**Tip:** Use this field to reinforce your firm’s best practices. The description appears for anyone who uses the template, so it’s a great way to align tone and expectations across your team.
### **Setting Visibility**
*Control who can see and use your template.*
Use the **Visibility** dropdown at the top to choose whether your template is private or shared with your team or organization.
* **Private:** Only you can view and edit the template.
* **Shared with team or organization:** Others in your workspace can use it to create or run meetings with the same structure.
Visibility helps maintain consistency across client interactions — especially when multiple advisors or CSAs use the same meeting format.
### **Defining sections**
Each section needs two things:
* **Section title** - What this part of the summary covers (e.g., "Tax Optimization Opportunities")
* **AI instructions** - Guidance for what to include (e.g., "Focus on specific tax strategies discussed and potential savings") The more specific your instructions, the more tailored your summaries become.
**Example template structure:**
```
Template: Retirement Planning Check-in
1. Current Retirement Timeline
Instructions: Note any changes to planned retirement date and reasoning
2. Income & Expense Review
Instructions: Summarize current savings rate and any spending concerns
3. Portfolio Performance
Instructions: Highlight returns, risk level, and any rebalancing discussed
4. Social Security Strategy
Instructions: Include claiming age discussions and benefit estimates
5. Healthcare Planning
Instructions: Cover Medicare, long-term care, or health savings topics
6. Action Items
Instructions: List all follow-ups and next steps with deadlines
```
**Tips for great templates:**
* Keep section names clear and specific
* Use 4-8 sections (too many gets overwhelming)
* Put action items last so they're easy to find
* Include a "Client Concerns" or "Questions Raised" section
* Consider what your clients will see if you share summaries
### **Previewing Your Template**
The **Template Preview** on the right side shows what a completed summary might look like.
Click **“Click to refresh”** to update the preview as you edit sections or descriptions.
This preview helps you visualize how AI-generated summaries will appear to your team or clients — ensuring that your structure prompts the right tone, flow, and level of detail before it’s shared or used in real meetings.
**Tip:** Refresh often as you edit sections to make sure the preview reflects your latest updates.
***
## Using Templates in Meetings
**Applying a template:** You can apply a template at any time—even to meetings that already have summaries generated.
1. Open your meeting summary
2. Click the **Auto format** dropdown
3. Select your desired template
4. Continuum regenerates the summary with your chosen structure
The regeneration takes just a few seconds. Your original transcript and notes stay untouched—only the summary organization changes.
**Switching between templates:** Feel free to experiment. Try different templates to see which structure works best for a particular meeting. You can switch back and forth as many times as you want. Each time, the AI reorganizes the same information in a new way.
**Setting default templates:** You can set a default template for specific meeting types. For example, any meeting titled "Portfolio Review" could automatically use your Portfolio Review template. This saves you from manually selecting the same template over and over.
## Editing Templates
Your templates aren't set in stone. You can edit them anytime to refine the structure. Just click on the template you want to modify, add, remove, or reorder sections, update AI instructions as needed and save your changes.
**Reviewing without changing:** You can open a template in read-only mode to review its sections and instructions without making any changes. Templates shared with you by your team open read-only, so you can see exactly how they're structured while only the creator can edit them.
**What happens to existing summaries?** When you edit a template, it doesn't automatically change summaries you've already generated. But the next time you apply that template to any meeting (new or old), it'll use the updated structure.
**Deleting templates:** Deleting a template removes it permanently. Summaries that used that template stay as-is—they don't revert to Auto format or disappear. Only the template itself is deleted.
## Sharing Templates with Your Team
The templates you create are Private by default, but you can share them with teammates at any time. This is great for ensuring everyone documents meetings consistently. Click **Share** and choose "Organization" to make it available to all.
Shared templates appear in everyone's template dropdown. Team members can use shared templates but can't edit them—only the creator can make changes.
***
## Template Best Practices
**Start simple:** Don't try to create the perfect template on day one. Use Continuum's Auto format for a few meetings, notice what sections appear naturally, then build your template around that structure.
**Get feedback:** If you share summaries with clients, ask what they find most valuable. Build your templates around the information that matters to them.
**Review and refine:** After using a template for a few meetings, revisit it. Are there sections that don't come up the way you want? Are you manually adding the same information every time? Adjust accordingly.
**Don't over-template:** Not every meeting needs a template. Casual check-ins, quick calls, and one-off conversations often work better with Auto format. Save templates for your recurring, structured meeting types.
**Use clear language:** Section names should make sense to anyone reading the summary—including your clients. "Next Steps" is clearer than "Action Items Requiring Follow-up."
**Organizing templates:** As you create more templates, keep them organized with clear naming. Instead of "Template 1," use "Q1 Portfolio Review" or "New Client Discovery Call." You'll thank yourself later.
***
## Troubleshooting Templates
**Section is empty or off-topic:** If a section consistently comes up empty or includes irrelevant information, your AI instructions might need tweaking. Try being more specific about what should go in that section, or consider whether that section is necessary at all.
**Template doesn't match the conversation:** Templates work best when the meeting actually covers those topics. If you're forcing a Retirement Planning template onto a tax strategy conversation, the AI will do its best but results might feel awkward. Switch to Auto format or use a more relevant template.
**Want to customize just one summary:** Even with a template applied, you can manually edit any section. The template structures your summary, but you're always free to adjust the final result. Click into any section and make it yours.
# Create and edit your Pages
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/pages/create-and-edit
Create a Page from a meeting, document, template, or scratch prompt, then shape it with AI and your firm’s branding.
This is the main workflow for building a Page. Start with the source that gives Continuum the best context, review the draft, use the AI chat to make changes, check your Brand, and publish only when the Page is ready for your client.
Every Page needs at least one client before it can be generated.
## Choose the best starting point
There are five common ways to create a Page.
**From a meeting:** Best when the Page is a follow-up to a real conversation. Continuum can use the transcript, summary, notes, participants, action items, and attachments as context.
**From scratch:** Best when there is no meeting behind it, or when you want to send a proactive deliverable.
**From a document:** Best when a plan, statement, proposal, or illustration is the main source of the Page.
**From a template:** Best when you want to reuse a consistent structure for a recurring deliverable.
**By duplicating an existing Page:** Best when you already have a Page structure you like and want to adapt it.
If this is your first time, start with [Create your first Page](/pages/your-first-page) and send a rehearsal Page to yourself before sending one to a client.
See step-by-step here:
This is the recommended path for most first Pages.
Go to **Meetings** and open a meeting that has already been captured and generated.
Click **Create Page** from the meeting view.
In the **Client** field, select the client or prospect this Page is for. Meeting participants appear first, followed by your other contacts.
If your workspace has Page templates, choose one from the **Template** field. You can also leave the template blank and let Continuum structure the Page from the meeting.
Click **Generate Page**. Continuum creates the Page and opens it in the editor with the AI panel ready to continue refining it.
### What a meeting can pre-populate
The exact draft depends on the meeting, the selected client, and any template you choose. A Page created from a meeting can include:
* **Header** — Your firm logo, your name, your photo, and a schedule-meeting action for the client
* **Personal message** — A note drafted from the conversation that you can refine before publishing
* **Meeting summary** — The key points discussed, written for the client
* **Next steps** — Action items with checkboxes, descriptions, due dates, and links where relevant
* **Attachments** — Files connected to the meeting or added while refining the Page
* **Schedule Meeting** — A booking section so the client can schedule a follow-up
Create a Page from scratch when there is no meeting behind it, or when you want to send a proactive deliverable.
Use this for onboarding packages, quarterly updates, proposals, planning ideas, document packages, or any client-facing explanation you would otherwise write as a long email.
Go to **Pages** and click **New Page**.
Select at least one client in the **Client** field.
Use **Meeting (optional)** if the Page should draw context from a past meeting. Leave it blank if the Page does not relate to a meeting.
Select a Page template from **Template**, or leave it blank to let Continuum decide the structure.
In **Prompt**, tell Continuum what to create. You can also click **Attach document** to include files as context.
> For example: "Put together a welcome page for a new client with the documents they need to review and the next steps for account setup."
Use this path when the document is the main source of the Page. For example, you might upload a financial plan, statement, proposal, insurance illustration, or onboarding package and ask Continuum to explain it clearly for your client.
Go to **Pages** and click **New Page**.
Select at least one client in the **Client** field.
In the **Prompt** area, click **Attach document** and upload the file. You can also drag and drop the file into the prompt area.
Be explicit about whether the document should become part of the Page, stay attached for download, or both.
> For example: "Pull the key projections from this financial plan into the Page as a summary and chart, and also attach the original PDF for download."
Click **Generate Page**, then review the output before publishing. Check any numbers, assumptions, names, and dates against the original document.
Files must be under 20 MB. If a file is too large, reduce the file size or split it into smaller documents before uploading.
Use a Page template when you want a consistent structure for a recurring deliverable, such as a quarterly review, discovery follow-up, onboarding package, or plan review.
Go to **Pages** and click **New Page**.
Select at least one client in the **Client** field.
Use the **Template** field to select the Page template you want.
Link a meeting, attach documents, or write a short prompt explaining what should be included.
Click **Generate Page**. Continuum uses the template structure with the client, meeting, document, and prompt context you provided.
Page templates are different from meeting templates. A meeting template shapes your meeting notes and summary. A Page template shapes the client-facing deliverable. Learn more in [Page templates](/pages/templates).
Duplicate a Page when you already have a structure you like and want to reuse it for another client or another version of the same deliverable.
Go to **Pages** and find the Page you want to reuse.
Click the **three-dot menu** on the Page.
Continuum creates a new Page copy and opens it in the editor.
Review the copied Page carefully. Change the client-specific message, numbers, documents, dates, and next steps before publishing.
A duplicated Page can save time, but it can also carry over details from the original. Always review client names, personal details, account information, attachments, and next steps before publishing.
## Review the draft before editing deeply
Before you start making a lot of changes, scan the Page once from top to bottom.
Check:
* **Client access** — The right client or clients are listed
* **Personal message** — The opening sounds like you
* **Facts and numbers** — Names, dates, assumptions, and figures are correct
* **Next steps** — Action items are clear and assigned to the right person
* **Attachments** — Only the intended documents are attached
* **Branding** — The Page reflects your firm’s current logo and colours
Nothing your client sees changes until you publish. If you change a Page after publishing, Continuum will show that the Page has unpublished changes until you update the published version.
## Edit with the AI chat
Pages are edited through the AI chat. Tell Continuum AI what you want to change in plain English, review the result, and keep refining until the Page is ready.
Use the AI chat for both small fixes and larger changes. For example, you can ask it to correct a name, change a date, remove a sentence, add a section, restructure the Page, summarise a document, or update a chart.
Page content is edited through the AI chat, not by clicking into the Page like a document. If you want something changed, describe the change you want.
#### Pro tip
To make your Pages feel more personal, add your profile photo in **Settings > Profile**. Continuum uses your profile name and photo in the footer of the Pages you create, so clients can clearly see who the Page is coming from.
## Prompts that work
Good prompts are specific, but they do not need to be formal. Write the way you would explain the change to an assistant on your team.
### Change the tone
* “Make the tone more formal”
* “Rewrite the personal message so it sounds more like me and less like a report”
* “Shorten the summary to three paragraphs”
* “Make the opening warmer and more conversational”
* “Make this easier for someone who has never reviewed an insurance illustration before”
### Add something
* “Add a section about the RESP contribution strategy we discussed”
* “Add a branded cover with a one-line summary”
* “Add a timeline for what happens next”
* “Add a short section explaining why we are recommending the conservative scenario”
* “Add a reminder that the signed forms are due by Friday”
### Restructure the Page
* “Turn next steps into a checklist with due dates”
* “Move the action items above the summary”
* “Split this into two sections, one for each account”
* “Group the recommendations into short-term and long-term actions”
* “Put the documents in their own section at the end”
### Work with data
* “Update the chart to show the last five years instead of three”
* “Pull the key projections out of this PDF and add them to the Page”
* “Show the two insurance quotes side by side in a table”
* “Create a chart comparing current contributions with the proposed contribution amount”
* “Summarise the fees in this document and call out the main difference”
### Personalise the Page
* “Mention that I enjoyed meeting their daughter”
* “Reference the fact that they’re retiring in 2029”
* “Add a sentence that connects this plan to their goal of spending winters in Arizona”
* “Make the next steps feel less formal and more collaborative”
### Draft the covering email
* “Draft a follow-up message to send with this page”
* “Write a short email that introduces this Page and asks them to review the next steps”
* “Draft a warmer version of the email for a long-time client”
If the Page was created from a meeting, Continuum already has the meeting transcript as context. You can ask it to bring in something that was discussed but did not make it into the first draft.
## Going further with interactive content
A Page is interactive content, so Edit with AI can do more than rewrite text.
Try prompts like:
* “Add a slider so they can see what happens if they contribute \$200 more a month”
* “Add a toggle between the conservative and the growth scenario”
* “Turn the fee comparison into a chart”
* “Create a simple timeline from today to their target retirement date”
* “Add a checklist they can work through before our next meeting”
Use these when the interaction helps your client understand the recommendation. A simple Page is often better than an impressive one if it makes the next step clearer.
## When the AI gets something wrong
Nothing your client sees changes until you publish. You can review the Page, ask the AI chat for changes, and keep refining before it goes live.
**If the wording is off:** Ask for the result you want. For example, “Make this shorter and more direct” or “Rewrite this as a note from me, not as a report.”
**If the structure is off:** Describe the final shape. For example, “Use three sections: What we reviewed, What we recommend, and What happens next.”
**If a fact is wrong:** Correct it directly. For example, “The retirement date is 2029, not 2030. Update the Page anywhere this appears.”
**If the Page fails to render:** Use **Ask AI to fix**. Continuum sends the render error back to the assistant so it can repair the Page.
**If you already published the Page:** Your edits become unpublished changes. Review them, then click **Update page** when you are ready for the published version to reflect the edits.
Always review facts, numbers, assumptions, client names, and document details before publishing. Edit with AI can save time, but you remain responsible for the final Page you send.
## Set up your Brand
Pages are designed to feel like your client is interacting with your firm, not with a generic software tool. Once your Brand settings are configured, Continuum applies them to future Pages created across your organization, helping every client experience feel consistent with your firm.
Your brand can include your company name, logo, primary colour, accent colour, font style, and corner style.
From a Page, open the **Brand** panel. If this is your first time, Continuum will guide you through setup.
Enter your firm’s website or upload a brand document. Continuum extracts brand options from the source you provide.
Review the logo, colours, font style, and corner style. Adjust anything that does not match your firm.
Click **Save**. Your Brand is saved for future Pages.
Brand settings are organization-wide. Changes you make here will apply to all future Pages created by you and anyone on your team.
## What you can adjust in Brand settings
**Logo:** Choose an extracted logo, upload your own, or remove the logo if needed.
**Primary colour:** The main colour used across the Page.
**Accent colour:** The supporting colour used for highlights and secondary elements.
**Font style:** Choose **Sans serif** or **Serif**.
**Corner style:** Choose **Rounded** or **Square**.
The company name shown on Pages comes from your organization settings. Only admins can update it from **Settings > Organization**.
## Updating your Brand after Pages are published
If you change your Brand after Pages have already been published, existing Pages may show unpublished changes. That means the draft has newer brand settings than the version your client can currently open.
Open each affected Page, review the update, and click **Update page** when you want the published version to use the new Brand.
Updating Brand settings can affect the look of existing Pages, but your client will not see those changes on a published Page until you update the published version.
## Page statuses
The Pages list shows where each Page is in the client engagement flow.
Draft — The Page has been created but not published yet. Your client cannot open the client link until the Page is published.
Sent — The Page has been published and is ready to share. This means the client link can work for the clients who have access.
Opened — At least one allowed client has opened the Page.
Engaged — A client has interacted more deeply with the Page, such as asking the assistant a question.
Use these statuses to understand what needs attention. A **Draft** may need review before publishing. A **Sent** Page that has not become **Opened** may need a follow-up. An **Engaged** Page is a signal that your client is spending time with the content.
# Pages Compliance
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/pages/pages-compliance
Understand the controls that help firms review, disclose, and track client-facing Pages.
Pages are client-facing deliverables, so compliance matters before anything is sent. Continuum is designed so an advisor reviews the Page, publishes it, and sends the email themselves. Nothing is generated and sent in one step.
This page explains the Page-specific controls that matter most to advisors, admins, and compliance reviewers.
## Human review before sending
Continuum can generate and change a Page through the AI chat, but the advisor stays in control of the final deliverable.
Before a client can open a Page:
1. The Page is created as a **Draft**
2. The advisor reviews the content and asks the AI chat for any needed changes
3. The advisor clicks **Publish**
4. The advisor clicks **Share** and generates or copies the email/link
5. The advisor sends the email from their own email account
The client does not receive anything automatically when a Page is generated.
Review every Page before publishing, especially numbers, assumptions, client names, recommendations, documents, and disclosure-sensitive language.
## Verified client access
Page access is tied to named clients, not to an open public link.
When a client opens the Page link, they verify their email address with a six-digit code. This confirms they are one of the clients allowed to access that Page.
Forwarding the link does not grant access to someone else. The person opening the link still needs to verify as an allowed client.
This gives you a clearer record of who opened the Page and when, which is important when reviewing client communication after the fact.
## The compliance footer
If compliance is enabled for your organization, Continuum displays a disclosure footer on Pages.
The footer can include:
* Company name
* Company logo
* Dealer branding, if enabled
* Dealer name
* Dealer logo
* Regulatory disclosure text
The footer is managed separately from the Page’s generated content. Advisors use the AI chat to refine Page content, while admins manage the compliance disclosure settings.
In Canadian organizations, the UI uses dealer-oriented terminology such as **Dealer**. Your firm’s internal language may also refer to an MGA, depending on your structure.
## Set up the disclosure footer
Organization admins can manage the footer from **Settings > Compliance**.
### Open Settings > Compliance
Go to **Settings**, then open **Compliance**.
### Enable compliance
Turn on **Enable compliance** to display your firm’s branding and regulatory disclosure footer on Pages.
### Add company branding
Add the company name and company logo that should appear in the footer.
### Add dealer branding if needed
Turn on **Show dealer branding** if your Page footer should include dealer information. Add the dealer name and logo.
### Add disclosure text
Enter the regulatory disclosure text that should appear at the bottom of every Page.
### Review the preview and save
Use the footer preview to confirm how it will appear, then click **Save**.
The Compliance page also shows who last edited the settings and when. If the settings have not been edited, Continuum shows that the organization is using the default compliance settings.
## Who can edit compliance settings
Only organization admins can edit compliance settings.
Non-admin users can see the Compliance page in read-only mode when it is available to them, but they cannot change the footer.
If your firm manages compliance centrally, individual organizations may not be able to override the disclosure settings. In that setup, the relevant compliance controls may be managed by the firm rather than by each organization.
## The AI and disclosure content
Treat the compliance footer as separate from the AI-generated Page content.
The Page AI chat is for the client-facing message, summary, charts, documents, and next steps. The disclosure footer is controlled through **Settings > Compliance** by an admin.
An advisor should not rely on Page editing prompts to add, remove, or alter required disclosure language. Manage required disclosure language from the Compliance settings instead.
## Updating disclosure settings after Pages are published
If compliance settings change after Pages have already been published, review any affected Pages before updating the published version.
Pages can show unpublished changes when settings or content have changed since the last published version. Open the Page, review it, and click **Update page** when you want the published version to reflect the change.
## Telling clients the advisor can see their questions
When a client chats with the Page assistant, those questions are visible to you in Topics & Insights. Continuum does not automatically tell the client this today, so if your firm wants clients to know, disclose it yourself.
Two ways to do it:
* **In the disclosure footer** — add a line to your compliance disclosure text in **Settings > Compliance** (for example, "Questions you ask the assistant on this page may be visible to your advisor.").
* **On the Page** — ask the AI chat to add a short note near the assistant.
Many advisors frame it as a benefit: any question the client asks is something you can help with, so they don't have to send a separate email to get an answer.
An optional in-chat notice for clients is something the team is exploring. Until then, the disclosure footer is the most reliable place to add this.

## Compliance FAQ
### Who can open a Page?
Only the clients listed on the Page can open it. They verify access with a six-digit email code.
### Does forwarding the link grant access?
No. Forwarding the link does not add someone to the Page. Access is controlled by the clients listed on the Page.
### Is there an access record?
Yes. Continuum tracks Page engagement, including opens and activity, so you can review who engaged with the Page and when.
### Can an advisor bypass the disclosure footer?
If compliance is enabled for the organization, the footer is part of the Page experience. Admins manage it from **Settings > Compliance**.
### Can the AI change the disclosure?
The AI chat changes Page content. Required disclosure text should be managed in **Settings > Compliance**, not through Page editing prompts.
### Where is client data held?
Data residency and retention can depend on your organization’s configuration and agreement with Continuum. If you need a formal answer for a compliance review, contact your Continuum representative or support team.
### Is client data used to train models?
No. The documents and information you attach to a Page are not used to train Continuum's models or the underlying AI models. Your client data stays your data.
If your compliance officer needs formal, contract-level language for a review, contact your Continuum representative or support team for the current approved wording for your organization.
### Why isn't the Page connected to my CRM?
This is by design. The Page assistant can only reference what you put on the Page, so a client can never use it to pull information from your CRM or other records. It keeps you in control of exactly what the client-facing assistant can see. Learn more in [The embedded assistant](/pages/send-and-track#the-embedded-assistant).
# Pages Templates
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/pages/pages-templates
Save a Page structure you like and reuse it for future client deliverables.
Page templates help you create consistent client-facing deliverables. Use them when your team sends the same type of Page repeatedly, such as quarterly reviews, discovery follow-ups, onboarding packages, plan reviews, or proposal summaries.
A meeting template shapes your meeting notes and summary. A Page template shapes the client-facing deliverable you send after, before, or outside a meeting.
## Where Page templates live
Open **Templates**, then choose **Pages**.
This is separate from meeting templates. If you are creating a structure for meeting notes, use the meeting templates area. If you are creating a structure for a client deliverable, use Page templates.
## Create a Page template from a prompt
### Open Templates > Pages
Go to **Templates**, then open the **Pages** view.
### Click New Page Template
Click **New Page Template**.
### Describe the template
In the prompt field, describe what the template should include.
> For example: "Create a warm introduction page for a new prospect, focusing on what we learned about their retirement vision."
### Attach a document if you have one
If your template should follow an existing sample, upload the document as context.
### Generate the template
Continuum opens the template editor with a live preview using sample content.
## Create a template from a Page you already like
If you have a Page that works well, save it as a template instead of rebuilding the structure later.
### Open the Page
Open the Page you want to reuse.
### Open the more options menu
Click the **three-dot menu** in the Page header.
### Create a template
Choose the option to create a template from the Page.
### Review and save
Review the template, remove client-specific details, and save it.
Before saving a Page as a template, remove names, account details, dates, document references, and anything else that should not appear in future Pages.
## Edit a Page template
The Page template editor includes two main areas: a live preview and an AI chat panel.
**Preview:** Shows how the template looks using sample content and your organization’s Brand settings.
**AI chat:** Lets you change the template by describing what you want. For example:
* “Add a section for next steps with due dates”
* “Make the opening warmer”
* “Add a document checklist near the end”
* “Turn the recommendations into three cards”
* “Make this better for a quarterly review”
When the preview looks right, click **Save**.
## Set template visibility
Use the visibility control in the template header to decide who can use the template.
**Private:** Only you can view and use the template.
**Shared with organization:** Teammates in your organization can use the template to create Pages.
Shared templates help teams keep client deliverables consistent across advisors, assistants, and service teams.
## Duplicate or delete a template
Open the template’s **three-dot menu** to manage it.
**Duplicate:** Creates a copy you can edit without changing the original. Use this when you want a variation for a different client segment or meeting type.
**Delete:** Removes the template. Deleting a template does not delete Pages that were already created from it.
## Page template best practices
**Keep templates reusable.** Avoid client-specific names, dates, and account details.
**Design around the job.** A discovery follow-up, quarterly review, and onboarding package should not all have the same structure.
**Use clear section names.** Your team should know what each section is for, and your client should understand it without explanation.
**Start with one strong template.** It is better to have a few templates your team trusts than a long list nobody uses.
**Preview with your Brand.** Templates render with your organization’s Brand settings, so check that the visual style works before sharing.
# Send and track your Pages
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/pages/send-and-track
Publish a Page, send it securely, understand what your client sees, and track engagement after they open it.
After you create and review a Page, the next step is to decide who can open it, publish it, send the link, and follow what happens next.
Pages are designed so you stay in control of the client communication. Continuum helps you prepare the Page and generate a suggested email, but you review the content, publish the Page, and send the email yourself.
## Publish before sharing
A new Page starts as **Draft**. The client link does not work until the Page is published.
Review every Page before publishing. Your client may rely on the Page and the embedded assistant’s answers to understand what you shared.
When the Page is ready:
### Click Preview
Use **Preview** to see the Page before your client opens it. Preview is useful for checking layout, branding, documents, links, and the mobile reading experience.
Preview shows the content of the Page, but it does not show the client’s full email verification experience.
If you are testing the real client link after using Preview, open the client link in a different browser or private window. This avoids confusing a preview session with the real client access flow.
### Click Publish
Click **Publish** to activate the client link. A sharing window opens where you can copy the link, generate an email draft, or manage access.
After publishing, the primary action changes to **Share**. Use **Share** anytime you want to reopen that same window.
Publishing makes the Page available to the clients who have access. **It does not send an email automatically.**
## Send the Page
Continuum never sends a Page to your client automatically. You stay in control of the message and send it yourself from your own email address, so it comes from an address your client recognizes.
Continuum helps by generating a suggested email you can copy into your email client. You can also copy the Page link directly and paste it wherever you normally communicate with the client.
### Generate an email draft
After the Page is published, click **Share**, then choose **Generate email**.
Continuum creates a suggested email draft that you can edit, copy the email, and paste it into Outlook, Gmail, or the email client you normally use. The draft is written in your voice, using a style guide Continuum builds from your connected email history — so it sounds like you, not a robot.
### Copy the Page link
Open **Share** and click **Copy link to Page**. Paste the link wherever you normally communicate with the client.
A copied link is not the same as open public access. Only the clients listed on the Page can open it.
## Log the Page in your CRM
Pages don't sync to your CRM automatically yet. To keep a record in a client's CRM profile, copy the Page link and paste it into their profile, the same way you'd log any other client communication.
## If your client prefers a PDF
Some clients — often those who'd rather not open an online document — prefer to receive a PDF. A Page is built as a live, interactive document, so take one extra step before exporting.
In the AI chat, ask Continuum to "make this Page PDF-friendly" so it formats with clean page breaks. If your brand uses a dark background, also ask it to switch to a light background so it stays readable in print.
Open the **three-dot menu** in the Page header and choose the option to download the Page as a PDF.
Attach the PDF to a secure or encrypted email. Once a PDF leaves Continuum it is no longer protected by the Page's email verification, so treat it like any other document that contains client information.
## Control client access
Pages have two kinds of access: the secure client link your client opens, and team access for people inside your organization. These are separate controls.
Use **Client link** when you are deciding which clients can open the Page. Use **Team access** when you are deciding which teammates can view the analytics or edit the Page in Continuum.
To manage client access, open **Access**, then choose the **Client link** tab.
This tab controls who can open the Page from the client link.
**Who can see the link:** Add or remove the clients who should be allowed to open the Page.
**This Page is a draft:** If the Page is still a draft, publish it to activate the client link.
**This Page is live:** If the Page is published, clients with access can open it from the link.
Access is identity-based. Adding a client grants access to that client’s email address. Removing a client revokes access.
## How client verification works
When your client opens the Page link, they verify their email address with a six-digit code. This confirms they are one of the clients allowed to open the Page.
Forwarding the link to someone else does not grant access. The person opening the link still needs to verify as an allowed client.
Pages do not use a shared password or a manual expiry date. Access is controlled by the clients listed on the Page.
## What your client sees
When you send a Page, your client receives a secure link from you, verifies their email address, and opens a branded Page with the content you prepared. They do not need a Continuum account.
This walkthrough shows the experience from your client’s side, so you know exactly what you are putting in front of them.
## Your client opens the link
When your client clicks the Page link, they are asked to verify their email address with a six-digit code.
This step confirms that the person opening the Page is one of the clients allowed to access it.
Forwarding the link to someone else does not grant that person access. They still need to verify as an allowed client.
## The verification screen
The verification screen is the front door to the Page. It asks your client to confirm their email address and enter the code they receive.
The screen should feel familiar because the Page experience uses your firm’s branding where available.
If you are rehearsing the experience, send a Page to yourself and open the link from your phone. This is the easiest way to see the verification step the way many clients will.
## The Page itself
After verification, your client sees the Page you published.
Depending on what you created, the Page can include:
* Your firm’s branding
* A personal message from you
* A meeting summary or client-facing explanation
* Interactive charts, tables, or scenario views
* Next steps or checklists
* Downloadable documents
* A schedule-meeting action
* A compliance disclosure footer
* An embedded assistant
The Page is designed to be read on desktop, tablet, or mobile.
## The embedded assistant
Every Page includes an assistant your client can chat with. It helps them understand what you sent — the summary, the numbers, the documents — without emailing you for every small question.
For example, your client might ask:
* "What are my next steps?"
* "What rate of return was assumed?"
* "Which document do I need to sign?"
* "What did we decide about RESP contributions?"
* "Can you summarize the conservative scenario?"
**The assistant is grounded in the Page content and its attachments**. It is not a replacement for your advice — think of it as a way for clients to understand what you already sent, and a signal (through Topics & Insights) of what they want to talk about next.
### What the assistant can use
The assistant only knows what is on that Page. It draws on:
* The content of the Page you built
* The documents you attached to the Page
* General definitions an advisor would know (for example, "What's the difference between a LIRA and a RIF?")
### What the assistant cannot do
The assistant is deliberately limited so it can never say more than you intended:
* It is **not connected to the internet**, so it cannot pull in outside information or "hallucinate" advice from a random source.
* It is **not connected to your CRM** or to your other clients' data.
* It **does not give investment advice or recommendations**. If a client asks something like "Which fund should I buy?" or "Where should I put this inheritance?", it will not answer — it points them back to you.
### Why it works this way
This keeps you in control of the client-facing conversation. You decide exactly what the assistant can reference by choosing what goes on the Page, so a client can never use it to surface information you did not include. It also protects your client from the kind of uncurated advice they might get by pasting your documents into a public chatbot.
If the assistant declines to answer something, that is the guardrail working as intended. To let it answer a question, add the relevant information to the Page.
## The compliance footer
If your organization has compliance enabled, the Page includes a footer with your firm’s compliance information and disclosure text.
This footer is managed separately from the Page content. It appears at the bottom of the Page so your client sees the required information with the deliverable.
Learn more in [Pages Compliance](/pages/pages-compliance).
## Repeat visits
After your client verifies and opens a Page, they can return to the same link later.
In the same browser, they may not need to enter a new code every time. If they use a different device, a private window, or a different browser, they may be asked to verify again.
## Editing after publishing
If you change a Page after publishing, Continuum shows unpublished changes. Your client continues to see the currently published version until you click **Update page**.
Use this flow when you need to ask the AI chat to fix a typo, update a document, change a recommendation, or refresh branding after the Page has already been shared.
## Track engagement
Pages give you visibility after you send. Instead of wondering whether a client read your email or opened the attachment, you can see how they engaged with the Page.
Use engagement data to follow up at the right time and prepare for your next conversation with better context.
## The Pages overview
At the top of the Pages tab, you can see engagement across your Pages.
The overview includes:
* **Open rate:** How many sent Pages have been opened
* **Views:** Total Page views
* **Chat interactions:** How many times clients engaged with the embedded assistant
Use the time filter to view engagement over the last **7**, **30**, or **90** days.
## The Pages table
The Pages table helps you scan every Page quickly.
Depending on your screen size and selected view, the table can show:
* Page title
* Status
* Client
* Created by
* Views
* Last activity
* Actions such as copy link, preview, open for editing, duplicate, or delete
Use **My Pages** for Pages you authored and **Shared with me** for Pages a teammate shared with you.
## Page statuses
Page statuses show where a Page is in the client engagement flow.
**Draft:** The Page has been created but not published yet.
**Sent:** The Page has been published and the client link can work for allowed clients.
**Opened:** At least one allowed client opened the Page.
**Engaged:** A client interacted more deeply with the Page, such as asking the assistant a question.
## Control team access
Open **Access**, then choose the **Team access** tab.
This tab controls who inside your organization can access the Page in Continuum. It does not control which clients can open the client link.
You can keep a Page private, share it with your organization, or grant access to specific teammates.
Owners can manage team access. Teammates with access can see the Team access tab, but may see it read-only if they cannot manage access.
## My Pages and Shared with me
The Pages list has separate views for Pages you created and Pages shared with you.
**My Pages:** Pages you authored.
**Shared with me:** Pages another teammate gave you access to.
Use these views to separate your own client deliverables from Pages where you are helping someone else review or update through the AI chat.
## Page detail panel
Click a Page from the list to open its detail panel.
The panel can show:
* Client
* Source meeting, if the Page was created from a meeting
* Status
* Views
* Chat interactions
* Activity
* Topics & Insights
This gives you one place to understand what happened after the Page was sent.
## Activity
The activity feed shows a timeline of engagement with the Page.
Activity can include:
* When the Page was opened
* Who opened it
* How many times it was viewed
* Which documents were downloaded
* When the client interacted with the assistant
If a client downloads the same document multiple times close together, Continuum may group those events so the activity feed stays readable.
## Topics & Insights
Topics & Insights summarizes what your client asked about in the embedded assistant.
Use it to see:
* The main themes in the client’s questions
* A written takeaway about what they may care about most
* The client’s questions with timestamps
* Topics ranked by how often they came up
This is especially useful before a follow-up meeting. If a client asked several questions about fees, contribution amounts, or a planning assumption, you can address that directly instead of starting cold.
## How to act on engagement
**Opened once:** Your client saw the Page. Give them enough time to review before following up, unless the matter is urgent.
**Viewed several times:** They may be revisiting the content or sharing the experience with a spouse or decision-maker. This can be a good moment to check in.
**Downloaded documents:** They may be reviewing the source material. Follow up with context or next steps if the document requires action.
**Asked the assistant questions:** Review Topics & Insights before reaching out. Their questions can tell you what needs clarification.
**Not opened after a few days:** A gentle nudge may be useful, especially if the Page includes time-sensitive next steps.
## Your own visits count
If you send a Page to yourself as a rehearsal, your own visit can appear in the numbers and activity feed.
That is expected. The same tracking that helps you test the experience also helps you understand real client engagement.
**Note**
When you are testing a Page, use your own contact record and remember that your activity may appear in engagement data.
## Engagement in meeting prep
Page engagement can become useful context before your next meeting. If a client opened a Page, downloaded documents, or asked questions, Continuum can surface that activity when helping you prepare.
This helps you walk into the next conversation knowing what the client spent time with.
# Your first Page
Source: https://help.oncontinuum.com/pages/your-first-page
Send a Page to yourself first so you can see exactly what your client will experience.
The fastest way to understand Pages is to rehearse the full flow before sending one to a client. Create a Page from a meeting, add yourself as the client, open the Page from the secure link, ask the assistant a question, and then check the engagement activity in Continuum.
This gives you a low-risk way to see both sides: what your client sees, and what you see after they engage.
**Nothing sends automatically**. Continuum drafts the email for you, but you choose whether to copy it, paste it into Outlook or Gmail, and send it from your own address.
## Before you start
Use a meeting that has already been captured and generated. A short sample, internal, or test meeting is fine. The goal is not to create the perfect client deliverable yet; the goal is to experience the flow end to end.
You will also need a contact record for the email address you want to use for the rehearsal.
Open the Page on your phone during the rehearsal. Many clients will read Pages from their phone first, so this is the quickest way to check how the experience feels in the real world.
## Create and send a test Page to yourself
Go to Meetings, open a meeting that already has a summary, and review the content you want to turn into a Page.
Click Create Page from the meeting. In the Client field, search for your own contact record and select it.
If your contact is not listed, add it using the email address where you want to receive the test link. If Continuum says the contact already exists, search for that existing contact instead of creating a duplicate.
Click Generate Page. Continuum creates a draft Page from the meeting and opens it in the editor.
Review the message, summary, next steps, attachments, and any generated sections. Make one or two small edits if you want to see how editing works, but keep this first Page simple.
Click Preview if you want to check the Page before publishing.
When you are ready, click Publish.
After the Page is published, click Share. You can copy the Page link or click Generate **email** to create a suggested email draft. Send the email to yourself from Outlook, Gmail, or the email client you normally use.
Open the link from your email, complete the six-digit email verification, and review the Page as your client would.
Download an attachment if the Page has one, ask the embedded assistant a simple question, **then return to Continuum and open the Page’s engagement details** to see your own activity.
## What to look for
As you review your test Page, check the parts your client will notice first.
**The opening message:** Does it sound like something you would actually send?
**The summary:** Does it explain the meeting clearly without making your client reread the full conversation?
**Next steps:** Are the action items clear enough for your client to know what to do?
**Documents:** Are the right files attached, and are they named clearly?
**Branding:** Does the Page look like it came from your practice?
**The assistant:** Can it answer a question grounded in the Page or the attached documents?
## What you will see in Continuum
After you open your own Page, the status and engagement data may update.
**Status:** A new Page starts as Draft Draft Once you publish it, it becomes Sent. When you open it from the client link, it can move to Opened. If you ask the assistant a question or interact more deeply, it can move to Engaged.
**Activity:** Your own visit counts. If you use your own email for this rehearsal, your view and assistant interaction can appear in the Page’s activity feed and analytics.
That is expected. When you send a real Page to a client, the same activity feed helps you understand whether they opened it, returned to it, downloaded documents, or asked questions.
## Keep this first Page simple
For your first rehearsal, do not try to build the most complete Page possible. A useful first Page usually has:
* A short personal message
* A meeting summary
* Clear next steps
* One relevant attachment, if you have one
* A simple question you can ask the assistant as a test
Once you have seen the full flow, you can create richer Pages with templates, uploaded documents, interactive charts, and more detailed client-specific sections.
